    So far so good
The plugs are smaller than most other ones in the same form-factor, which is a good thing, no problems plugging them one over another.1 of 3 was a little problematic to set up, needing a reset but afterward worked just fine, the other ones were a breeze. All 3 seemed to be a bit flaky in the first hour or so, showing as off when they were on (needed to tap on them once for the status to update) but later on they started working great. They’ve been working flawlessly for a few days now.Great, cheap Matter smart plugs, future-proof and interoperable!

    Easy to use smart plugs
I got these to operate several lamps. Easy to use iPhone or Alexa to set on/off times or scenes. I feel lazy not having to flip switches. These will not work with higher voltage items with larger motors or higher voltage lights.

Sailsco Matter Smart Plug, 3 pack. Works with Alexa
I’ve been running these plugs for several weeks now using an Alexa connection with no problems. When you first set them up you need have everything on the same 2.4Ghz, wifi network. After they are connected to Alexa you can control them from anywhere in the world via Alexa. You can use a voice command to your Alexa hardware or you can tap the screen on your Alexa app. I used the Alexa app to set them up. Because they adhere to the Matter standard you do not need to add them to intermediate app (like Smart Life), you can connect them directly to Alexa. I have set up some routines in Alexa to turn these ON/OFF at different times of the day or at Sunrise or Sunset. They’ve been working just fine. The smart plugs have a button on the side so you can turn them ON/OFF manually if needed. Here’s a tip when you go to install them. You’re going to need the Matter ID number (11 digits) from the side of the plug. Write it down someplace before plugging it in. The plug needs to have power going to it to be installed. The Alexa App will ask you for the Matter ID number or to scan the barcode. The number and barcode are on the bottom of the plug. My knees aren’t what they use to be and I found it easier to just enter the number I had written down rather than try to get my phone/tablet close enough to scan the code. It should be noted that these plugs are not rated for outside use and the package says their operating temperature range goes down to 0c, so they can’t be used below freezing temperatures.

    Matter integrated
As a long-time home automation enthusiast, I’m always looking for ways to streamline and expand my setup. While I’ve mostly stuck with Zigbee devices to keep things off my Wi-Fi network, I’ve recently started exploring Matter compatibility. These Matter Smart Plugs offered a compelling option to add some simple control to a few more devices.Setup was a breeze, taking just a couple of minutes per plug. It’s the standard procedure: plug it in, open your controller app (I used Alexa), and add the device. The app prompts you to scan the barcode on the plug, and after a short wait for configuration, you’re good to go. One important note: these plugs require a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, so if your router is 5GHz only, you’ll need to enable the 2.4GHz band.I’m currently using one of the plugs to control a box fan in my bedroom, automated to turn on at night. It works flawlessly. The plugs themselves are responsive and reliable. While they can be controlled through the manufacturer’s Smart Life app, I prefer to manage everything through Alexa. This is where the beauty of Matter shines – seamless integration with my existing ecosystem.A word of advice for fellow automation enthusiasts: think carefully about your overall setup and try to minimize the number of different apps you rely on. Every device seems to come with its own app, and it can quickly become overwhelming to manage them all. While the Smart Life app is perfectly functional, I appreciate that I don’t need to use it for these plugs.Overall, these Matter Smart Plugs are a solid choice for anyone looking to add some basic automation to their home. They’re easy to set up, work reliably, and integrate seamlessly with popular platforms like Alexa and Google Home. If you’re building a Matter-centric smart home, these are definitely worth considering.

Put into a group so that multiple lights come on or off at same time. Good use for this Alexa friendly plug.

    Nice little programmable plug outlets.
These plugs are easily located and controlled using the app on your phone. The best feature is being able to program times to turn on and off. It is easy to program a plug to turn on at a certain time on a specific day of the week or multiple days in a week and turn off at another specific time. Great for plugging something like a Christmas tree into so you can set it to turn on when it gets dark and have it turn off after you go to bed without having to worry about forgetting. The outlets app allow you to sink with other controlling apps like Samsung smart things, but I found this to be more of a hassle than it was worth. Plus my Alexa app always seems to lose track of my smart lights and plugs which makes it a hassle at times and using the base app for the plugs is more than sufficient.

    Does NOT support Power Montoring
Listing shows on the main pictures and in the description that power monitoring is supported. This feature is 100% not supported. Specifically purchased for this feature and paid extra compared to competitors. Not happy
