THEY WORK PERFCTLY
After struggling mightily for 10 plus YEARS with similar Leviton HomeKit compatible “Smart” switches (I believe they use the term ironically), talking to their tech support so often they knew my name, replacing 5 or 6 switches with newer versions but no improvement I finally tossed them in the trash & bought Lutrons. Not a single problem since a simple flawless install of the Lutrons, they work every time & the iPhone app that drives them is not perfect (could be more user friendly) but it works, IT JUST WORKS. Plus it’s usable enough that there’s no need to run it thru HomeKit, although it is compatible, there’s just no need & I’d rather let Lutron software drive Lutron switches. The Levitons constantly dropped off our wifi network & had to be reset to factory & reinstalled. Of course every time we were away from home for a few days (the exact reason we got the stupid things) 1 or 2 of them would flake out & could only be reset in person, Kinda hard to do when you’re 4 states away or on a cruise.Since installing the Lutrons not a single device has dropped off wifi or had any other issue. Have set up numerous “Schedules” to turn various lights on & off at night & morning, plus turning lights on & off when away from home & they are super simple to create & modify. Any that act based on sunrise or sunset automatically adjust with the changing daylight hours thru the year. There is confusion in the Lutron technical materials about the function of several different very similar looking switches. On 1 page they show 6 or 8 different similar switches & when you click on the Tech Specs (or something to that effect) instead of taking you to a dedicated page where you can learn the specific features or each different switch, it takes you to a document with dozens & dozens of pages & all the switches shown there, you then have to scroll up & down trying to figure out which is the switch you were trying to learn about. Very confusing & even when talking to tech support before I bought them, they weren’t completely clear on the often subtle differences between the various switches.I wish I’d bought these years ago & will be adding more in the future. On thing I’d like to see in the app is a randomization feature for the schedules so they don’t all work at the exact same time each day & vary themselves randomly to make for a more natural lived in appearance to anyone watching.

Just works
You want a smart wall switch? Lutron Caseta is the gold standard. Caseta just works. You never have to reset it, it never flakes out, it always works instantly, and Apple HomeKit never seems to have trouble talking to it. Pairing it is no problem. It stays cool to the touch. It. Just. Works. And that’s what you want in a light switch. The Claro design improves on the original Caseta design by replacing the two wobbly on/off buttons with a spring-loaded paddle that looks like a standard Decora switch. It’ll blend in with your dumb Decora switches. It operates like any other light switch: push the top for on, the bottom for off.Plus, you can get them in uncommon colors, such as the grey one I bought. It blends right in when installed in a handy box in the basement, or if you have grey switches and wallplates in your living space for some reason.

âNormalâ switch that works with Caseta
I was worried I couldnât mix the Claro and Diva with Caseta, but these work great. And itâs nice to have traditional looking switches. Theyâre expensive, but they work great!

They are great!
I donât install the Lutron Casetas in every house I get. They work fantastic! I think over the years Iâve had them not turned on when I did a timing schedule maybe once and I think when I try to turn off the light by the phone, it didnât work maybe once in five years I would say they are very reliable. Itâs the only remote switches Iâll ever use. Iâm a licensed Electrical Contractor in Hawaii. So I deal with all types of lighting controls.

They Just work
I never bought Caseta devices in the past because of their high price tag. You can buy wifi switches for $10 a piece now. Compared to $70 for these. Except you will rip your hair out after a while with the WiFi ones. Especially when you start adding more of them. Donât be afraid of the hub, when your WiFi stops working, you wonât have to explain to the wife why you canât turn on the lights. These are a premium product, and worth every pennny.

Reliable and safe
I have a fair bit of experience installing switches and other devices in the zigbee and z-wave protocols, they were ok but now supplanted by yet another “standard” called matter. I tried some matter devices but the whole experience was difficult, frustrating, and alarmingly unreliable. So on to Lutron and it has been a dream. Easy setup and never have had a single issue. One switch I installed in a location that controlled a light and outlet together. Not thinking, I plugged a space heater into the outlet, pulling more than the 5 amps the switch is rated to pass. After a while the switch got very hot, shut itself down and the LED blinked to tell me something is wrong. It saved me from what could have been a fire. That is a SMART switch. I thought probably it is fried but I installed it in another location and it is working great. My only complaint is the app is far too simple, very little can be done regarding automation. Perhaps this is a trade-off for reliability.

Game-Changer for Bathroom Convenience
Before, turning the vanity light on in my master bathroom was a hassle, requiring me to walk all the way into the room as the switch was at the far side of the sinks. Now, thanks to the included Pico Paddle Remote, I have convenient control right at the entrance to my bathroom. The installation process was straightforward, and the Pico remote fits perfectly into the existing switch box at the entrance of the bathroom.

Very good switch
This package tends to be my go-to product when a client would like to have the ability to turn on a light from multiple locations and the wiring is not there to do so. My only issue is with arc protection. I had a helper put one together and the hot wire touch ground and tripped the circuit. This event killed the circuitry in the switch and rendered it inoperable. Totally our mistake but it would be nice if the switch had protection built in.

These new switches are much easier to use instead of the multi-button switches and looks great next to regular decora switches. I’ve installed Caseta in two homes now, 20+ switches, lamp dimmers, and outdoor switches. It’s rock solid and has never let me down.. not once. Even the app is very reliable (hub needed). Highly recommend any Lutron Caseta product.

This smart switch is great! I love the the remote looks just like a regular switch so no one can tell it is DIY. I used this kit to add a 4th switch (the remote) at the top of some stairs to an already existing 3 way switch which controlled the light at the bottom of the stairs. The Lutron wiring wizard was easy to follow and I completed it in about 10 minutes. I purchased a 2nd one to make a single pole light into a 3 way as the single switch was in an inconvenient location. You do not need the smart hub for this to work (only need the hub if you want to control the light from your phone). Very minimal electrical knowledge is required to install. 10/10 can’t recommend enough.

These are great. Slowly changing over the house to smart switches. Alexa and phone apps are a great way to control your lights where ever you happen to be.

Good smart switch, Provides convenient remote control of lights. Expensive compared to competitors. Should be sold with or without the wall plate. I paid for a wall plate I donât need.
