    Good Brand Gone Bad
    My house is full of Merkury bulbs that work great. Why wouldn’t I keep buying them? Answer: Something changed. These won’t stay registered to the network. New bulbs don’t work with old apps (Geeni/Smart Life). New app logs out in the middle of adding new devices. New app sucks. These suck. It pains me to write it because this was the brand that had earned the right to be trusted by working flawlessly. No longer so.

    Bad Connectivity, Bad Communications
    1 of the 6 bulbs was dead on arrival. I set the other 5 up and contacted the manufacturer. The only response I received was an email confirming that they received my inquiry, followed by an email asking if my problem was resolved.Contacted Amazon and they gave me a prorated refund, which was nice of them.Meanwhile, the other 5 bulbs that do turn on give constant “offline” error messages in their app. Thankfully I set up control for all of them with Google Home and even when they claim to be offline they at least turn on and off on command. Changing brightness or colors is a different, more difficult story.I bought them because I had 6 previous generation Merkury bulbs bought through Sidedeal.com and those have never given me problems.Save yourself a headache and get a different brand.

    Despite having a son who is a self avowed tech wizard, we could not get these Merkury Smart Light Bulbs, 800 Lumen, WiFi RGBWW Color Changing LED Bulbs to work with our Echo devices, as they are advertised to do.

    These bulbs rarely stay connected to wifi
    The fact I have to constantly re connect these bulbs through the app just for them to not appear after pair or to say it’s offline even though it’s on. Garbage. I bought 4 bulbs and every single one of them sucks and have connectivity issues. What an L. Good thing they were cheap right?! Put some effort in. I have 1.1gb internet speeds so tell me it’s my internet.

    Nice bulbs, but don’t work with Alexa App
    Like others have reported, these do not seem to work with the Alexa app. I get them to connect to the WIFI in my house and they work on the Merkury app fine, but the idea is to control them with my Alexa and, even after following the instructions and installing the Merkury skill on Alexa app, these bulb do not get found. So until this issue is fixed, I have nice LED bulbs that I can control with a separate app, but they fall short of being able to control with voice commands. It really is a shame. If the issue does get resolved, I will come back and update my review and give more stars.

    Don’t work with Alexa
    These do not work with Alexa. I have a dozen or more older Merkury lamps that work fine in my system. these don’t regardless of what the box says.
