They like the color options, which can be switched from any hue or temperature white from a low-res flickering candlelight to any hue or white light from a high-res flicker. LIFX does it best
Easy install, great colors.I’ve gotten different lots and noticed color gradients can be slightly different so recommend buying each room or area together.Wish they had a 4″ as well.

    These are fun
I got a bunch of these for my home and they are super fun. In the kitchen right off the living room, in the hallway, and in another area in my home.I like having the color temperature fade, and having a funky “weekend mode” triggered by motion during Friday and Saturday evenings to create a vibe. These long with Alexa routines along with time-based and motion-based triggers makes my home feel “alive” and the right vibe is alway set.I recommend.

    Really good LED light, but….
Ok, alright, we have a bunch of LIFX lights in the house. The family swears by them. Over the yrs. I sound more like my Dad & Grandfather. I’m not the electric company, turn off the lights !!!LED lights help a lot in a 2700 Sq ft. 2-story home. The old hot incandescent light bulbs were cheap, but didn’t last. LED lights are more $$ to buy up front BUT are cool to the touch, and cost PENNIES @ day to run !! And LIFX you can change the colors too !But this model is a tad different,It’s not for when you are like remodeling your home and you cut new holes in the ceiling and run new wire & you want a new ceiling “puck light” up in there. This is more pre-exciting ceiling can lights. The old can is still used you just take out the “guts”Which are pretty simple to do and I’m not an electrician at all….And the new LIFX comes with everything you need, to plug & play some wires that lead to an end piece that looks just like the end of a regular size “E-26” light bulb that you would put in a table lamp. Screw it in the socket insert the spring clamps up in the “old can light housing” and push up on the “ceiling puck light” !!

    These are seriously game changers!
Amazing!!I have 2 of the downlights in my kitchen. Now both offices have these bulbs to match. Slowly going to knock out the rest of the entire house bexause these things are absolutely phenomenal. You can switch from any hue/temp white from a low res flickering candlelight, to a full blast blue tinted spotlight. They dance to music, have themes, easy color changing, set to timers, they dance and have all the settings your could possibly imagine.I like to set mine to forests & oceans most of time. Paired with all my plants, and the woods directly behind my home, I get lost in meditation now as you can really make your home into a dark foresty environment in less than 5 seconds!Like I said, I’m doing the entire home now, including some seeet LeD spiral bulbs for the lamps and such (they all connect and talk through Bluetooth!

    Surprsingly Bad
I bought 8 of these to put into my kitchen along with switches for a recent kitchen remodel. Really liked the fact that they have switches that can control smart lights. I am a technical person and I have had smart lights for over 10 years. I could not get this system even set up. I think I got 3 of them to connect eventually but then they would not show up or be uncontrollable. I wasted a whole evening on this. Surprised that in 2024 these lights are so awful. Needless to say I returned. Maybe good for one light or two as a feature but no way would I recommend putting this in your home in any meaningful way. Hue lights are what I have in some rooms and those connect and are able to be used. These LIFX just did not work at least for me.

Great lights – better than the Philips Hue lamps that I bought.
I have used many LIFX light through out the house. Since they have not had the downlight retrofit I ordered and have used Philips Hues. I would go so far as to say I really like the way the LIFX light work much much better than the Hues. The LIFX Retrfit downlight is brighter, and maintains its color setting better then the Hues and is also cheaper. Now that LIFX are actually making these retrofit downlights I may just pull the Phillips Hues and replace them all with the LIFX bulbs.
