Great No Neutral Wire
First Impression: Iâve tried a few no neutral wire switches and had used Phillips hue for a while as well. This is the only switch Iâve seen that only needs a ground wire to work and the great think about that is ground wires should be in almost every house and for those that donât have them everywhere (like my house), a ground wire is significantly easier to install then a neutral wire or capacitor. This installs super quickly and easily and works well!Iâve only just installed this yesterday so Iâll try to remember to come back to give a review after Iâve used it longer. I have used the switches with neutral wires from them as well as other accessories and they have been great so I expect to find little to no issues with this and if there are any (given itâs a brand new product), Iâm sure theyâll address them.Update: Iâve now had these for a couple months. I have had a couple issues but maintain the 5 star review for two main reasons. The issues were somewhat expected as it was a new product, but after working with the support team they were able to resolve my issues. They were very helpful and Iâm happy with both the service they provided and how the products work now that Iâve resolved my issues with the support team. The main issue I was having was with regard to connecting to companion switches. There were firmware updates needed that the switches didnât recognize were needed. I believe what ended up fixing the issue was factory resetting the hub, followed by factory resetting the switch.

Easy install in a wall box of its own.
The switch itself is a very snug fit in a dedicated gem box. It may or may not fit if the box contains wiring for other nearby things. To take advantage of automated on/off features however, you must pair this âno neutralâ switch with a MLWSB wi-fi bridge which in turn connects to your homeâs Wi-Fi network. The bridge simply plugs in to an electric outlet. It looks like any other wall wart.If youâre installing both switch and bridge on the same day, install the switch first and make sure that it works manually before setting up the bridge. And take your time setting up the bridge. Thatâs where things can get finicky.

DO NOT BUY LEVITON
All Leviton smart switches are piece of crap!!!!They are extremely hard to connect and configure, donât work well with HomeKit and its connection is not reliable. This switch doesnât connect with the bridge, and when I try to use it via Apple Home App it takes forever to respond.Donât buy this!

*Updated review*
I originally gave this one star because the smart function was not working. The switch would constantly show as offline. I worked with Scott in Levitonâs Tier-2 support and he was able to provide me with the beta version of new firmware to test. The new firmware resolved the issue. The switch is easy to install. Just connect it with the provided wire nuts. I had problems syncing the switch with the MyLeviton app, but then I was having firmware problems so the difficulty may have been from that. I installed this in a 2-gang box so I had to modify a wall plate to get it to fit. If you have a custom wall plate it may not work with this switch.Otherwise I am very, very happy with this. I needed a 3-way switch in my kitchen. I chose this switch because it works with Levitonâs companion switch to provide 3-way functionality without hiring an electrician.Pros:Great dimmer with smart capabilityExcellent technical supportCons:Doesnât work with standard wall plates

Easy to install and set up, works reliably
I have an older (1964) home, and most of the switches do not have neutral wires. I had set up and was pleased with a Leviton smartplug and Anywhere switch, so I bought two of these dimmers. They works with my low voltage track lighting and LED bulbs perfectly, no flicker at all. The switches are responsive, and dimming smooth. The app works well, and is well designed. Integration with with Google, Alexa, and SmartThings is seamless. Highly recommend.

Easiest Bridge with Apple HomeKit
This was the easiest 3rd party bridge Iâve ever set up within Apple HomeKit. Literally just plugged it in, connected to my WiFi and then scanned the HomeKit qrcode from the packaging and voila it was ready. Impressed so far with this and the Leviton smart switch without neutral wire I also purchased.

Pretty disappointing, only kinda works
I’ve had this switch installed for some time now. It barely works better than a standard wall switch. It’s pretty much always offline.Tried putting the bridge in different places. It’s pretty much in direct line of sight to my router, 8 feet away so I doubt it’s the Wifi. My other Leviton switches that have a neutral work great. Just not this no-neutral model. The only use I can get out of this over a standard wall switch is I can go in the Leviton app and turn it off/on. manually. I guess it’s still getting the signal from the bridge, just not sending one back? However it does not work with a voice assistant, routines or schedules because it’s always considered offline.

Works Great, until it doesnt
it worked great for about a year and then it wouldnt turn off. So i switched it back to a standard non-smart switch.

We have an older house with no neutral wire but wanted a wifi enable switch to control our out side lights. This switch worked perfectly and can be controlled remotely and on/off schedules can easily be configured.

Great, easy to install product if you have a house without neutral wire. The app leaves a little to desire, but adequate.

I am completely impressed. It wasn’t my only option for no neutral. I chose it for the name. Price is absolutely horrible to be honest. I’d have more of them if the price was better.Set up is easy once you know what to do. Trouble shooting is a challenge. However customer service was A1. Once set up, Google home takes over for oral commands. Timers are set up in app for the lights. Super easy.
