    Perfect for someone who is fascinated by lights of any kind.
    I bought this light for my boyfriend’s birthday. He is obsessed with all kinds of lights, from lamps to flashlights. He is also a low-key hoarder and would rather just know that he “possesses” the item and will take it out unopened and look at it. That makes buying him presents a nightmare because I am the “if you don’t use it, pass it on to someone else” person.So, all that to say that when I saw this lamp, I knew that he wouldn’t be able to pack it away. It’s so beautiful! I love the design and the moods that you can create are mind-blowing. (He is electronically challenged so his daughter hooked it up.)I scored with this birthday present.

    Totally different kind of light. Tons of light options and settings but not very bright overall.
    Once I received this table lamp and had it setup the first thing I thought was how different it was from anything else I had. It’s a very different and unique looking light and I’ve had many people ask me about it. Talking about setup it was very easy – take it out of the box, plug in to an outlet, and connect to the application. Honestly, I really didn’t want to download another application for lighting but I wanted to be able to have full control of this light and all the options. Once the app was downloaded and the light plugged in it connected right away without issue, which I’m always happy about.When it comes to lighting options and customization its basically unlimited and each single LED can be adjusted to whatever color combo or design you could ever want. Personally, I tend to use the premade lighting options or a static single color. I have played around with adjusting each LED and getting the LED’s to move this way or that way but this isn’t for me – I’ll just take it all as one color or use one of the premade options. They tout this light being able to use it’s AI and telling the AI how you’re feeling or the atmosphere you’re in and it’ll adjust the lights to something to fit. In my experience this didn’t really seem to work all that great. When I would say I felt this way or that way or told it a certain scenario I was in it never really matched the colors to what I would’ve thought it would. It is kind of neat to use but again, I’ll stick with the simpler options.The only negative I found with this light is that the actual lights or LED’s aren’t that bright even at the brightest setting. Not that I thought this light would light up my entire room or area but I did think it would be more like some of my other LED’s that are bright and vibrant. These lights, in my option, just don’t get up to the brightness like my other LED’s do. And they aren’t as vibrant like most LED’s I’ve used are. I’m not sure what it is but they seem dull at times.

    Fantastic lamp!
    I cannot speak on longevity yet but this lamp is an incredible find. The many pattern and color choices available in the app will thrill any gamer. It arrived packaged very well. The only caution I would give is to be careful when you are linking it into the base. It’s a little awkward to snap into the base and takes a little pressure to snap it in. Overall, a really fun and unique lamp.

    Fun but kinda limited
    This light has some appealing qualities. It has very nice colors and I like that I can adjust the rings around to whatever suits my mood at the time. It’s a bit tricky to put together as you really have to apply a good amount of force to get the 4 pronged tab at the bottom of the rings to snap into the base. The base has some good weight to it but if someone bumps into the light it’s going over as it’s top heavy. The AI feature is interesting. I gave it several things to see what it would do and really all it does is match whatever you give it as a ‘feeling’ with preprogrammed modes. So it’s not really an AI to be honest. It doesn’t think for itself. It takes a certain parameter and matches it. If you’re an old programmer like I am you’ll remember the line of “if so and so = so and so then go to so and so.” That’s all this AI feature does. It will never evolve. The music mode has several different patterns to choose from and they’re neat. However I don’t like that I can’t adjust the microphone sensitivity. It’s an all or nothing deal whether I’m playing slow jazz or metal. The light reacts the same no matter what. There really needs to be some adjustability there. The preprogrammed modes also need some work. There’s no speed adjustment. Again it’s an all or nothing kind of deal and that makes the light very distracting rather than being a nice part of your decor that adds to things. Instead of adding it overpowers. You can’t even adjust the brightness in those modes. The solid color settings are where the light does it’s best representation of things. You can adjust the color millions of ways and you can adjust the brigthness. The white light setting is nice as well. This brings me to my last critique on this smart light….the standalone app. Why make something Alexa compatible and not use one of the major apps like smart life, tuya or even surplife? I don’t care for having to download yet another app that has such limited functionality. I have other types of lights like these that come in at a much lower price and are far more adjustable than this Lepro light. The light itself is very visually appealing and is a very nice size. The app is what’s holding it back in my opinion. I think with the limited and rather crippled features this Lepro light is very overpriced. I was thinking about ordering another one so I’d have a balanced display on both side of my gaming area but after receiving this one that won’t be happening because of the app.
