Update 12/27: Alexa integration is finally working.
Pros:Easy to setup with app.Easy to get working. Both outlets can fit in one place.Cons:Failed to work with Alexa. [Update] it now works fine with Alexa.Other thoughts:[Update]Now that it works with Alexa, i can give it full rating.[Old]I got this specifically because I automate multiple things with Alexa to turn on/off. Unfortunately, these outlets are not good for me as I cannot get them to be recognized with Alexa. I have multiple system automations in place which I control with Alexa, and if these outlets cannot integrate with Alexa, then they are useless to me. It seems to have worked at some point in time, but as of December 2024, the skill will be enabled but no outlets will be recognized.Raised my issue with their support, but haven’t heard anything in a couple of days other than (so sorry, we will have our support look into it). It is clear that the integration is broken, and we do not know if it will be restored/fixed. If they fix this, I will update my review, but for now, steer away from this, unless the Alexa integration is not an issue for you.

They work
They do what they’re supposed to and they connected to the app easily. The app works well and looks good and it looks like you can download community driven light displays, which is really cool if you have lights. However, I can’t connect these plugs to Alexa. I’ve tried adding and removing them from the app, changing wifi networks, and re-linked the apps multiple times, but no luck.Luckily, the app has a schedule, so I just have these turning on and off at specific times. I’m still upset that I have to use yet another app to work with the smart devices in my home and it would have been really nice to just be able to ask Alexa to control the devices.

Works as advertised
This is my first time using smart plugs, and the experience was good. I wanted a timer for my Christmas tree lights, and in the future I plan to use these plugs to turn on house lights for security when I’m away at night.Setup was straightforward. I used the app instead of controlling via Alexa or Google Home, although I might try those methods later.I created a schedule using the app, and my tree lights not come on as scheduled. There’s also a manual “button” in the app so I can turn on/off the lights outside of the schedule. There’s one thing I don’t like about the app. Creating a schedule is straightforward and easy to figure out, but there are additional toggle switches in the app for Off Time and On Time. These correspond with the same times I set up in the app, and I have no idea what these app switches are for and how to use them. This points out the need for some basic instructions, which the app doesn’t provide.Other than this minor thing, I’m very satisfied with these smart plugs.

Poor performance
These plugs are very good looking and I love its compact size however they perform poorly.I tried multiple times to pair with Alexa but I was never able to get the plugs identified. I tried via the app, bluetooth or directly by Alexa. None of it worked despite trying out each method multiple times. The app skill is recognized in Alexa however it never found the associated plugs.Since I couldn’t get it to work with Alexa, I tried using the app’s timers for scheduled on/off times. No idea what the app or plug does but they switch on and off whenever it feels like it. They just switch on and off at random times. Then I guess they work ok if you are prepared to always operate with your app, where you can turn on/off with no issues.I’ve read similar issues from other reviews so I guess this is a design flaw.

Schedule feature doesnât work.
I got these to control Christmas lights using the schedule function in the app. I set the on and off times for both outlets for every day of the week at the same times. They turned on and off only one time. The schedule function only seems to work just once, then they stay off.In the app, there are two places to set up the schedule and the procedure is exactly the same for both. So I tried to set the schedule again using the other method⦠and again, it worked on day one. But it no longer observed the schedule passed the first day.Iâve looked everywhere in the app and I canât find anything that would prevent the schedule from working.

Works very well
The lepro 2-pack outlet plug works very easy and functions smoothly with the Lepro smart app. I own a rope light by Lepro so I’m familiar with their app, which works well.Configuring the outlet plugs was a breeze. What I really like is it doesn’t take over the entire outside. So you’re able to use the other plug without interference . What I do like is that I can configure my non-smart lights to turn on or off at a specific time, or configure them as a group, so that they turn on and off together.Works on a 2.4 Wi-Fi network. Their app allows you to share with other users or you to create rules, like turn off a set of lights on or off at a specific time, or weekly schedule.

Good with app. Not so much with Alexa.
These plugs were easy to set up and connect to my home WiFi using the mobile app. You can also control the power and create schedules using the app. However, even after connecting the app to my Amazon account with the Lepro Alexa Skill, the plugs never appeared in my list of devices. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting several times but the plugs couldn’t be found. Although the plugs work well with the proprietary app, without Alexa support, they aren’t really useful to me.

So Handy and Easy to Use
Great Product with easy set up with Alexa. Super handy to control with either remote or voice commands. Nice that they actually fit the outlet footprint allowing you to plug in either two of these or other electrical items.

The Smart Plug Mini 15A is an excellent addition to any smart home setup, providing convenience and efficiency with its user-friendly features. What stands out most is its seamless integration with Alexa and Google Home, allowing for effortless voice control over various devices. This capability has made managing my home electronics simpler and more efficient. The ability to create schedules and timers is another feature I find particularly beneficial, as it helps automate mundane tasks like turning lights on and off or starting appliances at specific times, thereby enhancing energy efficiency.I also appreciate the group control feature, which enables multiple plugs to be controlled simultaneously, offering a more streamlined approach to home automation. This is particularly useful when coordinating devices in the same room or those that need to network together for a particular function. The fact that no hub is required and setup is straightforward using a 2.4GHz WiFi network is an added convenience, making these plugs accessible even for those new to smart home technology. On the downside, the reliance on a 2.4GHz WiFi network might be limiting for some users, especially in environments where dual-band WiFi is prevalent. Additionally, while the compact size is generally a positive, in tightly spaced outlets, it may still cover adjacent sockets. Despite these minor issues, the Smart Plug Mini 15A delivers reliable performance and seamless connectivity, making it a valuable tool for enhancing home efficiency and convenience.

This is a smart plug/outlet. Itâs rated for 15 amps and 1800 watts, which means it can almost everything you can plug into it, including space heaters and portable air conditioners (but check the applianceâs numbers to be sure). Some smart plugs can only handle 12 or 13 amp loads. I also really like that the ratings are on the front instead of the back, so itâs very obvious.I couldnât get it to pair with either the Samsung SmartThings or Smart Life/Tuya apps. Smart Life/Tuya is normally compatible with many third party smart devices so you donât have to use the app the manufacturer suggests, but in this case, this plug only works with the Lepro app, so you have to install that. Unfortunately, the app requires that you also register an account. The app and plug has more features than most smart plugs. See my screenshot from the app. In addition to the expected schedules, you can control the indicator light, disable the physical on/off button and even set the power state (on/off) after a blackout is over and power is restored.I read in some reviews that they had problems connecting it to Google Home, but in my case, it was no problem. I went into the Google Home app and Lepro was listed as one of the integrations. Once I selected it, the smart plug was available in Google Home. Unfortunately, within Google Home, you canât control the indicator light, lock the power button or set the power state after the blackout. In summary, I dislike needing more apps to control different brands of smart devices, but at least the Lepro app has a few more features than usual.

These smart plugs are quick and easy to set up and get working with the Letpro+ app. They connected to wifi easily using the same wifi my phone was connected to. With the Lerpro app Iâm able to set schedules and timers.Unfortunately while they work with the Lepro+ app they dont appear in either the Google Home or Alexa apps. Iâve tried adding them multiple times. Iâve tried using different wifi networks and tried connecting and reconnecting the Lepro+ skill but without any success. Iâve got several other smart devices from other companies that worked and appeared in my Google and Alexa apps almost immediately so this is unusual. Alexa and Google recognize Lepro+ so perhaps the problem is these sockets aren’t supported yet but might be in the future. This severely limits the usefulness for me since I control my smart devices with voice commands to an Echo Dot and a Google Home Mini.

The setup was pretty simple, once I created an account on the app and plugged it into an outlet it showed up in the app. It took only seconds after that to have it fully configured.A nice touch is that they allow you to manage whether the status light is active or not from the app, so it you are sensitive to these appliance lights in a dark room, this could be a handy option to disable it. Another handy feature is âpower state memoryâ, this allows it to return to the previous power status if there was a power interruption; without such a feature youâd need to remember to check on your devices after a power cut and this grows old really fast. The main reason I grabbed this was because the photos show that the footprint is small enough so that 2 of them could share the same outlet without squeezing or even touching the other, and it delivered in that regard. Some of the smart outlets on the market can be very large and basically prevent the other outlet from being accessible. I am also pleased that it is rated to deliver a full 15A instead of 10A as a lot of the smart outlets on the market are known to do. Although I am not sure Iâll have a real-world application where I need to control such a heavy load with a smart outlet, I can see this load capacity being useful if you want to control a space heater or a pump. With all of this said the reason I knocked a star off is because of the very limited integration it supports with 3rd party smart home platforms like SmartThings and Home Assistant. To be fair the listing only mentioned Alexa and Google Home. I was just hoping to get more.

The Lepro Smart Plug Mini 15A was a disappointment. Here are the PROS:* ETC Certified, safe to use in Canada* Good design allows for two plugs to be plugged into wall socket* Seems to be well made* Nice it works with Alexa and Google Home AssistantCONS:* Wonât work with Smart Life, Smart Things, Kasa* Have to install YET ANOTHER app* Have to make an account to use that app and the deviceNothing else matters as far as any benefits these plugs may have. The requirements of the consumer to use a plug is beyond reasonable, in my opinion. I would be looking for something that did not require another app and making an account.
