    Don’t bother with the remote, just use the app
    Syncing the remote was impossible, so I’ve had to use the Smart Home app. Like the flexibility the lights provide.

    Great ambient mood lighting …
    I wanted some cool lighting in a corner of my recording studio, and these seemed like they would fit the bill. The set includes two LED light bulbs and a really nicely done remote control. I put the two bulbs in a 3 can floor lamp. These are smart bulbs so they need to be set up via the Smart Life app from the Apple Store, and you have to connect to your home WIFI. I’m not going to say that the setup was a piece of cake, and it’s mainly because of the instructions included with the kit. The instructions are not very well executed, so you have fiddle around to get the bulbs to connect to your WIFI, then your have to set up the remote control, which is even more confusing. After a while I finally got the system working; however, I could not figure out how to “bind” the lightbulbs as described in the instructions. Basically the remote has a separate channel for each bulb where they can be controlled independently of each other. I could not get this feature to work. The lights are very nice and the slowly cycling colors look really cool in my studio. You can use the factory color scheme programs or you can design your own. All and all, these lights really work for me.

    Confusing Light Bulb
    I started by testing this bulb in a dimmed fixture. The bulb does dim, but sometimes flickers. The flickering can be stopped by adjusting the dimming switch, but if it continues to flicker, the bulb quickly gets hot.My primary purpose for the bulb was to convert a three-way lamp to an LED. Examining the base shows that this is not set up to act as a traditional three-way. I evidently misinterpreted the description.I am not certain how this is supposed to have three levels of brightness. There are no instructions. In a traditional lamp, the levels do seem to change if the bulb is cycled, but not in a predictable way.

    Nice, high-quality color changing light bulbs. The bulbs are simple to use and the included remote is such a convenience. The light is not too bright and can be dimmed also. Great value for the price.

    Easy peasy
    I really like the remote option for these lights. We have them in both lamps in our living room and it’s easy to turn them on/off at the same time or adjust the brightness, even color changes. Perfectly brightAnd good quality.
