    Reliable and Convenient
The Kasa Outdoor Smart Plug is a reliable and convenient way to control outdoor devices remotely. With its weather-resistant design and compatibility with major smart home platforms like Alexa and Google Home, it offers effortless integration into existing setups. The plug’s two sockets provide ample space for connecting multiple devices, and the lack of a required hub simplifies installation. While the aesthetics might not be for everyone, its functionality and ease of use make it a solid choice for those seeking to enhance their outdoor smart home experience.

One of the better outdoor smart plugs I have used!
I purchased this Kasa 2-outlet plug to control a 12′ Santa with Alexa from my backyard. Kasa is under the TP-Link brand, which I’ve had good experiences with. The setup was straightforward: I plugged it in, downloaded the app, updated the firmware, and linked it to Alexa through a somewhat hidden menu “third party services”. I placed it outside on a pool deck, about 35 feet from my home, and it worked well even at the edge of my Wi-Fi signal. I used an outdoor-grade extension cord with no issues. However, it takes a minute or two for the Kasa to sync with Alexa after being unplugged and relocated. Works great!

    Good product
Works really well with Alexa. Set up was easy and the app that goes with it is easy to use and the interface is nice. Good value for cost.

    Love this smart plug
We used this to replace an old mechanical timer for our Christmas lights. Much easier to install and it’s much more precise than a mechanical timer. And I can turn the lights for extra time from my phone. Been in place for about 3 weeks (with lots of cold, lots of rain, and some snow) without any issues.

Product works well. Watch the You Tube from “Gauging Gadgets” when setting up.
Watching the You Tube really saved time and helped in the Wi-Fi Outdoor plug set up. We are using for our outdoor fountain. Features seem to be solid; cord is 8″ long and it thick. Seems to be made of good material.

    Easy set up
I like this plug because it attached to my network on the first try and is fully integrated with Apple HomeKit. I also like that it has the flexibility to operate the 2 outlets independently. I was able to set one outlet connected to my patio pergola lights to be part of multiple HomeKit scenes. Those lights turn on automatically at sunset and turn off at 11:00 PM. The second outlet runs our fountain which turns on by demand only but is also set to turn off automatically at 11:00 in case I forget to turn it off manually. As of 1 month of service, it has not dropped it’s connection to the network once. It’s been very solid and I would purchase again.

    BEST option/vendor/performance
Bought this to test the scheduling function and ir works as advertised. Schedule is easy to define and actually works. Outdoor lighting (landscaping and Xmas ) works on 2 different schedules and all outlets can be individually controlled remotely. After testing the first one I actually bought 3 more units to be used. Connects easily to the 2.4ghz network. Automatically recognized by Alexa. Very pleased with this Kasa/TP Link product. Now going to test their indoor plugs and expect the same results.

    I love Kasa!
This outlet is great. I have it outside and I have the extension cord to my shed/mini barn hooked up to it to control the overhead lights and heat lamps for my chickens. I’m considering another one for Christmas lights.I like the app and find it easy to use. I use the schedule feature to turn the overhead light on and off at the same time each day. I use Google Assistant with it, and it makes my life easier because I have a remote outdoor thermometer in the barn so I can see the temperature from my kitchen and choose whether I want heat lights on without trudging to the chicken shed in the rain or freezing cold.I started with the Kasa individual mini outlets and have been very happy with those as well. Personally, I recommend setting up a guest network for your smart things so if it gets hacked, your computer is not on it.Note: these only work on 2.4, not 5 on your Wi-Fi.
