Wonderful value in a camera.
What a value for the money. Delivers on everything it advertises and more. The picture quality for both day and night settings is great. The app is packed with features and easy to use. I will be ordering more.I had settled on this/these camera rather than a full ip camera (NVR) system due to the major price difference. I was willing to sacrifice the ip streaming and local recording in order for ease of setup and to save a few bucks. I was poking around in the settings and come to realize this camera supports RTSP (realtime streaming protocol) which allows setup with most security camera software. I am impressed by this capability in such an affordable camera.My only gripe (and it is a small one) is that the motors that move the camera were virtually silent when I received the cameras, however now that I have had them mounted (inverted/upsidedown) for several days, you can hear every time the camera tracks motion. I am not sure if this is a result of me mounting the cameras upside-down or not, however I assumed this was alright to do since the settings give you the option to invert the output stream. Clearly this was not big enough of a deal for me to take away a star on the rating.

Is a very good product at all level: image quality, network reception, realtime notification…It is bigger than what it looks like on the photos but is nontheless a good camera with a friendly app.I just hope it was smaller in size.

Great for very close spaces, fails around 13 months use
Purchased may 2021, system operates 80% of the time non peak use. 40% time peak use. Peak being detections and high traffic hours.It has identified thieves from 20 feet away but no longer rotates and barely connects to the internet. Power cable has been duck taped to the rear as the connectors never worked.Worth it if the price is under 20 bucks for this camera.You also must pay subscription for any sort of recording even if it is to an SD card. Those prices aren’t bad but are still the same price for Amazon prime or more a month.

No 5Ghz connectivity which means installation is a pain
These cameras are good and the software is not too bad compared to some competitors.The installation from a recent smartphone however is a royal pain in the neck.The wifi connectivity of the cameras is working on 2.4ghz. Most recent wifi routers use both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Modern cell phones almost all switch automatically to 5Ghz with no way to switch to 2.4Ghz.Since the camera automatic setup requires the phone to be on a 2.4Ghz connection, this made this auto-setup is useless and impossible to use.The only way to set up the cameras for my wifi network was to plug them on my wired network, add them to the account by scanning the QR code of the camera and set up the wifi of the camera via the device settings while connected via Ethernet cable.In short… These cameras would highly benefit from a hardware upgrade to 5Ghz compatibility… We are in 2021… 5Ghz is nothing new.At the very least it would be nice to have an explanation of how to deal with 5Ghz smartphone connectivity from Imou… Sadly they have no solution on their website and I had to spend my time looking for a solution.Apart from that… Quality is good. I would have loved the camera to be able to tilt down lower than it can (tilt down below horizon) but at least that’s documented.

Love this camera and easy set-up. App is user friendly. Only issue I found was when you play back any recordings you hear clicking noise when the camera moves so the camera microphone picks up the noise inside the camera as it moves around, However you can hardly hear it at all when it’s live and when your around the camera. For me this is not an issue at all and really is pretty normal.

I have been using this camera for several weeks, I needed to take the videos off my local storage. When I accessed the memory card to get a video of a break in the files on it were not ones I could view. I contacted support and they told me the only way to access them was to pay for their support package. So not only was I victimized, to help with that I am having my videos held virtually for ransom. Also when talking to support I said I need these saved local as video files, his solutions was to format my card and erase all my files so now I don’t have the video.
