    nice system, 12V, cut and splice in two section to one transformer
    tape adhered to under side of cabinets, to a 1×2 attached under cab for appearance. wired from switch box to a j-box on top of cabinets for two circuits , used one for 110v space up lights and one to transformer which was used in two location to drop 12v down to tape and used spice adapter and terminal pieces from separate order to make connections. Not too difficult but hard to get too for my string of cab above table top. only used one string of led to supply.Really works very nice and the two different light system enhanced lighting. Recommend

    GET REAL: THEY DO EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO
    I can’t believe the bad reviews for these. People are expecting to have their hands held when making fairly basic connections. When is the last time you got instructions with twist-on wire connections? Or with paper clips? Ok, look at the images above and you will see some basic instruction. You pry open the clasps. Makes sense, no? Then, you cut the LED strip. Where do you cut and and how much insulation do you leave. UM, read the tape – it tells you where to cut. Gives you an exact line! You may have to sacrifice one – three lights to get to the cut mark but cut exactly on the line. There is no insulation to strip. Then just look close at what you are doing. It makes sense that each of the four metal leads has to slip under one of the four metal prongs. Don’t just stick it in there willie-nillie. Cut the LED tape before removing the backing exposing the adhesive back. It will be almost impossible to work with it otherwise. This will make it very snug. I can’t imagine a scenario where someone would have already cut the backing tape but if so it should still work. You have to look very close and work it back and forth to get all four leads under the four prongs. But, all of these are just common sense items. No one told me to do this. I just knew it had to be done to make an electrical connection and I am NOT an electrician. No contact – no light. Got it to work the first time. It is not hard. Also, even though it is a snug fit, I’m going to wrap tape around my connections just for good measure. I think they are great for the price. Small, unobtrusive and efficient.

    Did not work for my application.
    Works great for their intended task: connecting two RBG 10mm LED strips end to end. The LED strip slides neatly into a small slot and the connectors line up well under the pins. Do not place the LED strip on top of the pins, it will not fit or align well.I tried to use these connectors with xtf2015 Led Strip Lighting 5Meter 16.4ft Waterproof Flexible Color Changing RGB SMD5050 300 LEDs Light Strip Kit + 44 Key Remote Controller + 12V 5A Power Supply and EvZ 4 Color 20m RGB Extension Cable Line for LED Strip RGB 5050 3528 Cord 4pin, to create extra length, but could not get the wires to stay in place for a solid connection. I could have soldered the wire to the connector, but it made more sense to solder the wires directly to the LED strip.I had to remove the waterproof coating to expose the terminals for the clips. They should work well with non-waterproof strips, but I cannot recommend for wet or damp environments.

    Very economical
    Bought the connectors to use with some existing LED strip lighting. Would not work due to fact my LED strip had a protective cover over LEDs and ribbon. These connectors are pretty flimsy and wouldn’t work with the thicker material. Should work with uncoated LED strip lighting.

    Works great
    I purchased these to use with LED lights to place under my kitchen cabinets. However, I must have either purchased the wrong LED lights for this type of connector (or vice versa), because the clip won’t close as there is an LED light that is too close and is under the clip.UPDATE!!! I just saw a video that shows how to remedy the problem. Instead of cutting between the dots, cut so that all four copper dots are together. (An inch or so of tape will be wasted.) Then slide all four dots into the connector which goes in far enough for the proper connection to be made.

    Remember to slide them on to the end of the LED strip.
    The only issue is that they need instructions. I was not aware that I had to slide them on to the end of the light strip until I found out that there was no connection made when I just clamped them on the end of the LED strip. Once I slid them on they worked great.

    LED STRIP to flimsy to work with this product.
    I’m not sure if in this case one can blame this product or the LED light to which it is designed to make the connection ? I tried for over 2 hours & consider myself a person with very high skil set. When one cuts the plastic from the LED lights you have to be super careful to first remove all the plastic, BUT NOT SCRAPE TO MUCH to damage the very , very thin LED strip with the metal contacts. On the clip that snaps together – the 4 pins are very tight – they are too tight to allow the flimsy LED strip to slide under the pins, if you bend the pins up – they may not have enough pressure to make contact as you cannot bend them down anymore. It’s the perfect CATCH 22. the LED – did not fit & did not transfer the elec current, even when it fit under the clip it still did not work.

    Helps connect two strips together and span separations
    These were great to join multiple strips of leds together. It also allowed me to span some separations with wires. I attached one end of the clip to the led strip and then soldered wires to the other side. I repeated the same to the other strip and soldered the wires to the second clip. That only required me to solder wires once to each clip. I could have bought the pre-made wires but this one was available same day and turned out to be cheaper since I already had the wire to connect two strips together.
