    So fun and beautiful
    I have a lot of unique lighting, I finally graduated from old school string lights to led lights a few years ago, but this is the next step. I have led lights on one side of my room but I wanted a more ambient light without specific bulbs. THIS IS IT. I love it. I followed all advice I read and use the screws to install it, I did not even bother with the sticky part, especially as I wanted it at my ceiling. It is so pretty and fun to choose different colors and scenes. I believe there are other led lighting brand apps that are a little easier to use and more straightforward, but once you poke around the app, it’s fine. The 9.8′ length was also great for one side of my room.

    Great performance
    I didn’t like that I couldn’t connect it to SmartThings with Matter, but I have since moved on from SmartThings anyway. The Govee Neon integrated well with Homey Pro 2023 and the Homey Govee App. I like the intense, bright colors in this rope light. I installed it on top of kitchen cabinets and the bounce lighting is great.

    Good (angled!) RGB strip, but with odd mounting issues
    The RGB Strip itself:- Looks good! and the angled design makes it fit perfectly along the edges of a room.- Integrated into HomeAssistant using the Matter plugin, but this results in some features (patterns and effects) not being available, which is a bit disappointing.- At lower brightness, the individual segments are visible, but it’s not distractingInstallation:Installed this in my bedroom using the provided clips / adhesive strips.Normally, I wouldn’t trust adhesives with these sorts of products, but it seemed to be (actually) name brand, and pretty substantial.Installation was pretty easy, and mounting seemed stable – until I came back from a trip after a few weeks. The entire strip had fallen, but rather than the adhesive coming detached from my wall, it had, in most cases, came detached from the plastic clip. It seems that the lack of any surface texture on the plastic clips didn’t create a good bond, and resulted in detachment.After reinstalling with screws, have not had any further issues!

    Does not match other goveee lighting scenes.
    I have been very pleased with my other govee products. They work and look great, all play well together with the app and colors match… all but this unit. It blasts white light when it’s supposed to blast red on my favorite setting (fire C) this is incredibly frustrating as it has completely ruined the cohesion of my other lights. I went to Amazon support, they sent another, and it does the exact same thing. This is a feature of the device, hopefully it will be updated away and made to match. But until then DO NOT BUY if you are also neurodivergent and are bothered by things not matching. It’s absolutely crazy making. I would return it but I screwed the brackets into the wall so now I’m just leaving it up so I don’t have to mud and paint… huge bummer, please fix this govee.

    I needed something that would give my bathtub. A better affect, I dropped a pair of these back behind it against the wall, now every time I come into my bathroom, I get a special feeling.
