Customers say
Customers find the string lights easy to use and set up with the app. The app allows them to setup ON/OFF schedules, control groups, and scenes. However, some customers have issues with adhesion and connectivity, mentioning that the glue is not strong enough to make 90° corners. There are mixed opinions on brightness.

AMAZON PLEASE UPDATE Product Details 16ft vs. 6ft
Ordered what I thought was the 16ft for $20.35 however received the 6.6 ft. Looks like the website details are mixed up. (See photo)THAT SAID: I’ll review both! Was disappointed that the 6ft lights don’t have a separate WHITE diode for brighter White lighting, that the 16 ft has. I ordered a 16ft through a different company, and have been very satisfied with the 50053 and would have expected the same with the 6ft. version. You can see from the photos a comparison between the top (6ft) and the bottom (16ft); both set at max brightness.I can make these work for a different project, but would be helpful to have more product details available.Globe Electric App was super easy to use. I would recommend using the manual setup to detect the lights, as I’ve not been able to get the lights to sync using the automatic. (User error?)Works great overall with Google Home, EXCEPT that Globe uses what is called a Mood to set the dynamic color changing capabilities which CANNOT be activated using Google Home, NOR can one create a scene, that uses the Moods. Bit of a let down really, but hopefully can be resolved with an app update. If you’re not overly concerned about the brightness of the white lights, the 6ft will do just fine, otherwise, order the 16ft, or consider a different product.Another let down is that after calling Globe, they said that you can’t reconnect the strip once it has been cut, and were unable to answer my question as to what type of connecter can be used if you want to add an extension between two segments. Do I use a 5pin 10mm or 5 pin 12mm? (Say between two desks and use a splitter in the middle so my project doesn’t look like a badly lit house at Christmas as one strand connects to another in an area that you don’t want lights…) Independent research must be done to figure this out I suppose…

SOOOO dim, can’t see them
THE BAD: these things aren’t bright enough for under-cabinet use in the kitchen. You can’t even tell they’re on unless all the other lights are off. These would be a total vibe if used for aesthetic mood lighting behind a tv or somewhere you don’t need a lit workspace, but don’t get these if you want extra lighting in the kitchen or desk or any work space.THE GOOD: the lights aren’t just exposed diodes on a strip like others are, the strip is cased in a transparent rubber casing. So that’s nice? The bad far outweighs the good here. Sending them back. 🙁

Needs stronger adhesive
Theyâre very good for the price. Super easy to set up, the Bluetooth control is not only convenient, but also highly customizable. My only gripe with these is that the adhesive is not great. Even wiping down all the surfaces with alcohol, they start to droop after a while. Highly recommend for small projects.

Honestly i read a lot of negative reviews on this product but i really like it! Took maximum 2 minutes to install. You put your wifi modem in 2.4ghz, open the app and then add the product. The tape was good enough canât say the best but at the same time i donât want it to rip off half the paint off my desk. I also read that the colors werenât great, i never tried any other LED strip lights but iâve seen a couple at my brothers home (different brand) and it seems to be similar. Also itâs a Canadian company which i find cool that i can encourage!

These strip lights work great as added task lighting under the kitchen cabinets. The white mode offers a pleasant warm colour temperature that is easy on the eyes. Not too white, not too warm. Installation was pretty straight forward. It took me about an hour to make it look nice and tidy. Installed on painted wood and used the provided clips to add extra support near the bends. The adhesive seems pretty good. Time will tell. I made sure to apply pressure as I installed it. Pairing with the Globe Suite app was a breeze (as it was with other Globe products Iâve installed). Itâs true you do need to have a dedicated 2.4Ghz wifi network in order to connect these smart devices. If you are having difficulty, do a little research on your wifi router and setup two dedicated SSIDs (one for 2.4Ghz and one for 5Ghz). Make sure they are named differently. Once configured, you only need to connect your smart phone to the 2.4Ghz network during the on boarding of the product into the Globe Suite App. You can switch back to the 5Ghz network afterwards. I see a lot of people complaining about the fact these devices only run on 2.4Ghz. The fact is, 2.4Ghz chipsets are inexpensive to add to smart devices, they are the most compatible with wifi routers new and old, and the signal will travel further through walls than a 5Ghz wifi signal. These devices donât need a lot of bandwidth, so 2.4Ghz is just fine for their purpose. The Globe Suite app is well designed and offers a lot of handy features. I have it setup with Smart Scenes and can activate various smart devices using a Siri shortcut. I also have a few different lights setup on a routine that turn on as I wake up in the morning. Overall, I am quite pleased with this LED strip. The strip feels like itâs well made and there is even a thicker plastic coating over the diodes to protect them from damage. I will definitely be adding more Globe Smart devices to my home in the future!

The lights work great, and they do the job for what I’m looking for. Set up was a little confusing needing to connect to a 2.4 ghz wifi, but google helped solve that issue.Though for the slight scuffs on the lights, the box damage AND the adhesion being pretty much non existent; I feel like it should’ve been cheaper. If you don’t have anything extra to use for glue or straps, it’s definitely not going where you want it.

Solid strip light They’re responsive and the colour saturation is decent. I agree they’re not the brightest on the market, but depending on where you plan on using them, that might not be an issue. I installed these under a bed for use over night; and when I set them to 1% the strip is just bright enough to let me see where I need to go without burning my eyes.Re Adding the lights using Tuya vs Globe, even though under the surface it’s the same App, I had issues with Globe’s – Also if you’re a Home Assistant (HASSIO) user, Globe isn’t compatible, where Tuya is.
