    Holiday lighting made easy
    This is my 3rd Global Plug. These things are super easy to install and use. You download the app and then plug in the device. The whole process took less than 2 mins. It recognized my WiFi and then there it was on the app. You can add multiple devices and name them so you know which device controls which outlet. With the Duo you can have one outlet on and the other off. They can be controlled individually.Being at work until dark I can turn in the lights before I get home and don’t come home to a dark house. They are great and I highly recommend.

    Doesn’t work
    The plug doesn’t follow any of the schedules I set for it. I have the outdoor plug from this company so I figured I’d stay in brand so I can use the same app, but it randomly turns off and on all day long. You can’t even use it as a means of increasing your outlets because of the randomness.

    double smart plug
    this was so easy to set up and work like champ. i have it set up in my garage for overhead LED lights. i set a schedule up and i have had no problems out of this. i have it hooked up with my google home hub and if i had a chance to buy again i would not wait a second to do so.stop looking and buy now

    Was easy to set up with my Alexa devices for voice control but the lights would randomly turn on and off at all times of day and night. Woke up to lamps on in the middle if the night several times and gave up using it. Ended up buying smart bulbs instead.

    I’ve had a great experience with all globe electric smart products so far (two plugs and half a dozen light bulbs), they are easy to setup and control, have great scheduling and automation features and can be controlled/monitored from anywhere you have internet.One thing to note is the dual wall plug is really wide. That could be a problem depending on where you plan to use it. My wall outlets are horizontal and really close to the tall baseboards, blocking this from plugging in. It was being plugged into a power strip anyway with no issue.I bought this dual plug with the intent to modify it and that has gone perfectly. I disconnected the ac power supply from the switched side of one relay by cutting a small slot in the board then added a couple wires from that relay going out the ground hole for that now unused socket. Now I can control whatever 0-240v ac/dc circuit I like as well as a regular 120/240v ac device like my lava lamp.

    I purchased a single outlet from Globe from Dollarama and it was easy to set up and program (this one was basic, so I can’t turn it on/off unless I’m home and connected to WiFi). So I decided to get a double outlet version for a different spot in my home… This one was annoying to set up. On top of that, it will randomly shut off during the day, or turn on in the middle of the night. I use it for grow lights for plants and have it programmed to work when the sun would typically be up in my region, so having it shut off is annoying, but having it turn on in the middle of the night is worse.

    Love these smart plugs! They are easy to install on a 2.4G network and the two power sources can be operated separately or together. This is my 2nd set and I’ll probably be buying a third soon for Christmas lights.My first set of plugs is used for two aquarium light bars on my 6 ft fish tank. I’ve got them scheduled to turn off and on at set times. It’s been great because it saves me having to run down to the basement to turn my tank lights off in the morning when I’m already late trying to rush off to work.My second set of smart plugs is used in our media room. One is for the disco lights and the other for the projector. I’ve linked them to my Google home mini so they can be voice activated individually.These smart plugs can be used for so many applications, adding ease and convenience to our day to day life. Highly recommend!
