Why can’t connect the light strip? /Can’t search for lights on my APP?

Please check the following reasons:

1. Confirm that the light is connected to the power source(is there any loose connection part?);2. Download the “Magic Home pro” APP;3. Check your network. This controller supports 2.4G,not supports 5G.4. Check whether the pin sequence of the light strip is consistent with the controller;5. Whether your WiFi is connected to more than 15 devices,it may cause weak WiFi signal;6. If still not works after completing the above steps, please reset the controllerReset: plug and unplug connector repeatly for 4 times, wait for 1-3 seconds each time you plug /unplug the connector. (After the reset is successful,the light will strobe)REMARK: Long press W key for 2 seconds will switch on White LED ( Please install it after connect near WiFi! )

    Much better than others I have tried
    Overall great product, all of these LED strips as a consumer product still seem to be in a maturing phase, they are not great across the board (yet). some are pretty good and some are so-so. Most of the issues are around the power solution & control methods, not as much the actual light strips. This one is great the light density and brightness is exactly what I was looking for. Having the wireless connection and smart capabilities is a huge plus, and I think its mandatory for these to be convenient enough to make sense with all their RGB-ness. I’m planning on using these as under kitchen cabinet strips (so above my main counter spaces) and getting a motion sensor and setting it up so these lights will turn on automatically when I trigger the motion sensor. Which I believe I can do but have not implemented yet.The Bad:Like others have said the remote is a basic RGB remote and not technically designed for RGB-W so once you use the remote for any selection you can not through just the remote turn back on the white dedicated LED’s again, you need to use the app. This can be annoying, but if your like me and you use smart audio devices for controlling lights already its not a big deal. I never intended on using the included remote even if it was amazing anyway, since I want to use a motion sensor as my primary on-off trigger for the strip.The Good:The light density (how many you see in a given foot of length) is good, which is an important factor to uniform, and bright strips. Those 10 dollar 16.4 ft strips are really mediocre and don’t produce a lot of light, and in that price range never seem to have RGB-W, they tend to just be RGB.The -W part is hugely important if you just want lighting, and not like mood/color lighting, so this was critical for my needs. The -W produces a much more normal white light than the RGB only strips, their ‘white’ selection is mediocre and often not that bright and off color from typical lights in a home. If you press W on the remote and the white dedicated lights are off you will see what I mean.I don’t know if this is the best, but it should fit my needs fine, and its better than the cheap ones. We still need to see more general product maturation for these Light strips + controller/power combos, the more simple it is and very importantly the more simple the control methods are the better. If anything is not sufficiently convenient is just simply won’t get used, or won’t get used to its potential. So ease of access/control on these types of products is critical and they still have some room to grow. Thank goodness we have smart device/wi-fi integration now though! Happy shopping.

    The GIDEALED Smart WiFi RGBW LED Strip Lights 16.4ft Kit Work with Alexa and Google. This LED Kit works great, and is easy to set up. Everything you need is included in the box. The LED Lights are waterproof, and I think look better than the non waterproof. The LED remote is fast and accurate, and I love how easy it is to change the color. I also like that you can add a second roll of RBGW LED strips if needed. I highly recommend Gidealed LED Lights. I will buy again..

    Fell apart mid install
    I was so excited to put up some lighting around my headboard. I ordered some nice LED channels to cast light on the wall. It was a fun project. Tossed the lights in and worked great. For around one second. Then one side starts acting wonky and as I inspect it I find it has completely broke apart. I pull all of the lighting off the tracks and 2 more spot literally fell apart in my hands. It is thick. It is sticky. It is not a good product other than that. Tis trash my friends.

    Decent lights
    These are cheap. The app is easy to use, and it was simple to pair with my smart home. It’s what you want from a basic tape light. I was trying to use mine as an undercabinet light, which I do not recommend, it’s not well suited for that. As an accent light it works quite well, however.• The connector is poor quality. It’s possible mine was defective because it didn’t lock into the receptacle, but I think even a properly functioning connector would be pretty flimsy. My light has a tendency to flicker or change color if you look at the connector wrong – the kitchen is too high traffic of an area for it, but I think it will be fine higher up where people can’t bump it.• The cold white chip is just blue. It’s not worth buying; I’d spring for the neutral or the warm white instead, maybe they are better? I was hoping for a cool white and it did not deliver.• The adhesion of the tape is terrible. I was trying to use it for undercabinet lighting and it kept falling down. I ended up buying some 3M double sided tape which worked better. If it’s facing up or sideways probably wouldn’t be an issue.• The remote is unnecessary if you have the app.It’s nowhere near as bright or as nice as say, a Hue tape light, which is what I eventually switched my undercabinet lighting to, but it’s also a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t recommend using this for task lighting like I was, but for accents and ambience this is a solid buy. I’m moving it to a cove that just needs a pop of color.

    Looks nice with a few quirks – UPDATE 11/3
    UPDATE 11/3:Looks like the light (the White light) is turning yellow(ish) by the connector (about 6-7 inches). Still white in the rest of the string. You can see in the 2 new pictures. It’s more visible at night but it’s kind of annoying. I’ve unplugged and reconnected but still the same issue. I guess I will need to replace.ORIGINAL:Easy to install. But led will not stick in the corners. I tried to add double sided tape which helps a little but constantly need to push it down.Also the colors on the strip dont always match with the app. For example tried to select orange and it was practically impossible. I mainly use the white so I will live with it.App overall is nice. Add action of ifttt to automatically turn on when my samsung tv turns on. There are times though it doesn’t turn on. But when I turn off the tv all of sudden it turns on.Overall result is nice.
