    If you read the directions they work great. I just got a new router installed and its 5ghz. None of my devises work with 5ghx. All these smart plugs run off 2ghz. I was about ready to throw them all in the trash and start over, then I called Xfinity and they told me how to split the bandwidth so I have 2ghz, and 5ghz. Now all my devises work again. If you cannot get anything to work with your 5ghz router, call your internet provider and ask them if you can split your bandwidth. It worked for me, and it was easy to do.

    Nice little smart plug!
    I fumbled slightly when getting this set up, but that was user error. I followed the instructions for Google nest/home connection. After downloading the Gosund app, I thought it was going to walk me through the set up, but instead, it felt like a salesy thing b/c it was giving me all these ads for products. You have to look for the +, and for some reason, it didn’t add properly the first time. I thought it did. So then i went to Google Home to look for it, and it was found but impossible to connect. Finally, i went back to the Gosund app, successfully added it, and then was able to add it to google home. In reality, once you add it to google home, you don’t really need the other app. I have it on a timer, and it’s just perfect. Very easy to control as well as set up times for. Highly recommend it!

    It didn’t even last 6 months
    As neat as this thing is, it didn’t last 6 months. It’s easy to install, just plug it in, connect it to your network and you can control whatever is plugged into it. I bought this in May of 2024 and it stopped working in September 2024

    A Smart, Compact, and Affordable Upgrade for Your Home
    I recently added the GHome Smart Mini Plug to my smart home setup, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade! I am fan of Ghome products in general. The setup was a breeze; I had it connected to my Wi-Fi and working with Alexa in minutes. Its compact size is perfect—it doesn’t hog the outlet, so I can still use the other socket. The plug also works with the Smart Life app, so I can control everything remotely, even when I’m not home. It has a scheduling feature but i haven’t used it yet.For the price, it’s a steal—great features and very reliable. If you’re looking for an affordable way to make your home smarter, the GHome Smart Mini Plug is a must-have!

    Used this brand for years to automate Christmas decorations
    I have had two of these smart plugs for years and when I knew I needed another one, came right back to my previous purchase to place a new order. Yes you need a third-party app but you can sync that app with your Google Home app and you never need to touch their app again once it’s set up. They can be a little finicky when you connect a device using the slow blink. But when you change the connection to the fast blink by pressing and holding the power button, it connects quickly. My favorite part with these is I pack them up with my Christmas decorations and a year later plug them back in and all of the settings have been saved and work like they’ve never been unplugged. They’ve gone through two different homes and I’ve had my originals for at least four years. Will continue to get these as I need more.

    Sometimes disconnects
    Very rare for it to disconnect, but when it does you’re going to have to re-open the app to remake the schedule on and off placements. If the power goes out in the outlet you plugged it in, it’ll also refresh and you’ll have to reschedule the on and off placements as well. Not that much of a hassle but it is quite annoying.
