    Very nice bulbs – Will definitely buy again!
    I am extremely happy with these bulbs. The bulbs are easy to setup and have a nice range of colors. For those who want to use a voice assistant to turn lights on/off by voice it works well. I just needed a bulb that had a natural yellowish glow like an incandescent bulb because I really do not like bulbs with a bluish hue. These bulbs have a very natural color and can look exactly like incandescent bulbs. The second thing I like is the ability to dim them to any level. This is great for my bedroom and office. After setting the proper brightness I may never use the smart features again. Now I just use the light switch like a good old fashioned light bulb. They work great and I would highly recommend them.

    Good, but…
    These lights were fairly easy to install and work great with the Gosund app. I have to knock them one star because of their limited functionality with Google Home. Although they say the “Work with Google Home”, they should say “Kinda works with Google home”. You can control the brightness and on/off features of the bulbs with the Google Home app, but unfortunately, you cannot control the color change function from Google Home. I contacted tech support who replied back the next day that Color Change functionality was not supported in the Google Home app. Quite disappointing and not mentioned in the description anywhere. I still like the bulbs, I even dropped one off from 6 feet up a ladder and it didn’t break when it hit the ground, so they are very high quality….just stinks I can’t color change without opening the Gosund app.

    Great for Holidays & Automation…
    These are a great addition to our holiday decorating year round. We installed them in the fixtures in the front of the house and set them to pastel colors for Easter; green for St. Patricks Day; red, white, and blue on 4th of July or other patriotic days; purple and orange for Halloween; then various other colors for Christmas, and so on. Using the automation in the app, they can be colored for a few hours, then at a set time they’re moved back to full white for security overnight.I use them inside for the kids during birthday parties, such as Nerf gun wars to give each room a different color, and more.We use them on the back deck to to give a dim red color so that we can see, but we’re not blinded when someone does turn on the lights at night.Overall, the ways that these bulbs can be used goes on and on. They’re great to have and we’re always getting a complement on them.Obviously, I’ve purchased this brand several times over the past 4 years and so far I’ve only had one minor failure and that’s one bulb won’t go white again. It still does the other colors, but not white.

    Way too involved and invasive setup procedure
    TL;DR: Setup requires use of a secondary app that requires you to create an account, and asks for too much info, such as internet passwords, GPS, camera access, etc. Other smartbulbs do not require any of this.—–I’ve bought smartbulbs from Philips before and think they’re great. They’re easy to use–just plug them in, sync to Alexa and you’re good to go.Ghome? Not so much.First of all, the bulbs I recieved were Gosund, not Ghome, which I thought were the wrong bulbs at first, but a little research shows this is just one of those dodgy brands that seems to change names every other week. Should have stopped in full here, but I pressed on anyway because, after all, already had the bulbs, right?Second: To connect them, I had to download their proprietary app first, which would have been only midly annoying were it not for the fact that I also had to make an account. Again, this is just for light bulbs… Still, I figured I’ll just do this, get them connected and then delete the bloatware app afterward. But, of course, there was more…Third: After logging in and going to set up, the app gives you options to use bluetooth or wifi to set up. I chose bluetooth. It still asked for my wifi password anyway (because of course it did), along with access to camera, etc. Growing more annoyed at this point, I gave in and entered the wifi password (again, figuring I’ll just delete all this after setup). Then it asked me to activate my GPS. That’s where I finally drew the line. What in the world does it need all of this information and access for? My GPS? Seriously? Why do I have to jump through so many hoops and give access to so much info just to use lightbulbs? What next? My SSN and blood type?At this point I deleted the app, blocked its access to any of my info, packed the bulbs back up, and requested a return.That’s what I get for trying to save a few bucks by ordering these bulbs instead of sticking with the Philips ones (or some other more reputable name brand), which again, asked for no info or required other another app, and I could connect within seconds.I do not recommend these bulbs at all. Avoid them and spend a little more on something reputable and reliable.

    Worked good at first now 2/4 bulbs never go online anymore and only stay white
    Wifi feature is not all that nice. I actually would’ve preferred a remote instead. Maybe would’ve lasted longer. Only 2/4 bulbs can still change color. NOT HAPPY.Edit: they started working again like 2 weeks later.. so I’m happy again lol I’m using them directly via Bluetooth now and not wifi (on my phone)New edit: they stopped working again and i unpaired them and deleted them and restarted/ reconnected like new. I will say this, i only have had problems when they’re in a group. I have 3 in a group and one solo. The solo one has never given problems and i always easily change the color with my automation i made. Would be nice to be able to make the same for groups. I’d like to set a specific scene i made for a group with a simple one tap automation…

    Hi everyone,Today I’m reviewing lights.Yeah I’ll admit it, I’m a little bougie, yeah that’s right, step right in to my den of lights. 💡💡💡Okay so these are cool, I put them in my lamps I load up the app, I have a plethora of light choices based on my mood. Disco night one asks, no worries I got this – I go to the app and choose rockin’ red for the karaoke party. Or when I want to feel warm and cozy, I have warm tones to set the mood perfectly.I’m familiar with app controlled lights, and these are pretty standardized to other products that I own. Life is much easier with the app, especially if one is on vacation⛱️, as the lights can be controlled as long as one has access to wifi, thus to appear like one is home all though one isn’t – sneaky 😂.Brightness alert💥! Yes these are adequate in terms of brightness, for me personally I like soft warm light, not crazy bright, but enough to light a room whilst giving it atmosphere – cue Berry White 😂. On the highest level of brightness, it’s bright enough for me to read my book. These bad boys can be controlled by Alexa as well, overall I’m happy with the lights.Regarding energy efficiency, it says on the product page it is, I guess my electricity bill will be the final judge of that, the jury is still out on that subject – but I sense all will be fine.I hope this review help’s 🍃💡💡💡🍃

    None of the bulbs stay connected for more than 15 min. Constantly having to reconnect. To both the gosund app and they may or may not sync with alexa, depends on the day it seems. Returning these asap, Do not suggest.
