Camera reboot
When I lose power to the house some of my cameras need to be rebooted to connect to the Wi-Fi network. If I am out of town, I cannot reboot them, but the Geeni switch seems to always connect to the Wi-Fi when the power returns.So I have plugged the cameras into the Geeni switch, when the power comes back on and the camera lost Wi-Fi connection I turn on the switch which reboots the cameras and they find the Wi-Fi. This is done remotely using the Geeni mobile application.

It definitely works with Alexa. But it only turns the outlet on or off, not the USB ports. They have power all the time. Disappointed.Also, it’s slightly annoying that you have to download another app and make an account to make it work. It should just be recognized by the Alexa. Keep it simple.

The product description states: ” and control 3 devices from anywhere at any time”.This is wrong! You can not control the usb ports from anywhere, only the single 120v outlet can be controlled. I returned since the device did not meet the only need I bought it for.The product does connect to the app easily. The app recognized the plug as soon as i plugged it in. No connecting to wifi networks or searching for devices.

Perfect for Christmas Candles
For the first time ever, all our Christmas lights came on at the same time. It was like “Home Alone”….which might not be a good thing. Look what happened to them! Anyway, we used them to turn on the candles in the windows and they worked like a charm. That used to be a real chore because we have quite a few to do. These plugs are very reliable.
