    Great device!
    The receptacle and app are great! I would constantly forget to turn off my lamp upstairs and would have to go back up. Now I can turn off the lamp with the app! Saves me steps!

    On at sunset, off at sunrise
    I use the Geeni smart plugs, both interior and exterior, and dimmer switch, to turn lights on at sunset and off at sunrise. These have replaced timers and photocells. I also use timer functions to turn a few lights on and off at set times. But the variety of events that can trigger on and off is great. Temperature, humidity, sky cover, wind speed, sunrise, and sunset. Setup is trivial. My only complaint is that two of the interior plugs failed after about six months, but they’re so cheap who cares.

    So nice, I bought it twice
    I bought these for Christmas lights but decided to try them out on backyard lights for a tiki theme. Took it a little bit to connect, but it is the farthest point from our router outside, so that didn’t help. Now it is connected and I’m able to set times for on and off or just control myself. Worked so great, I bought another for the front yard.

    Customer Service is unsatisfactory!
    I wish I could rate their service “NO STARS”! This company does not stand behind their products. I have many Geeni products and have been pleased until I have had to contact customer service. They definitely give the customer the run around. Everything you call about must go . through the development team. They claim they will get back to you! Haha good luck with that. I’ve given up I will be swapping all my Geeni products to a company that stands behind their products! This company is a joke! Update: still waiting on Development Team! They have stopped responding to my emails! Kasa products look like a good replacement one thing for sure customer service couldn’t be any worse! I’m still trying to get this warranty claim resolved 12/5/24. SORRY customer service! Do Not buy from this incompetent company and expect them to stand behind their products! Customer service is non existent! They will not respond!

    Working fine, terrible instructions
    I’ve been an Amazon smart plug purist because they work so well and install like a breeze. I needed an outdoor solution, so I decided to try this one and the price was right.Short story, it’s working now and the little cord makes it easy to plug into the weatherproof box outside.I tried for an hour to get it to connect. Confusing about which method to use. I tried them all (Bluetooth, manual, automatic) and nothing would work. Instructions and web search no help. The app was seeing the device, but it would not connect.I brought it inside and sat right next to my router. Nothing.Finally, just on a hunch, I unplugged my Roku and my security camera. By the time I returned to my phone, there was a big green check mark and it was connected and working.I guess I need to increase my wifi speed.It controls my outdoor lights just fine. A little lag on the on/off function but nothing too bad.Overall for the price, and to not get mosquito bites to turn off the lights, I’m pretty pleased so far.
