    Easy set up. Needs wifi 2.4ghz wont work with 5.0ghz
    Great cameras. I set it up at a ranch home, a second home so I have 2 locations set up. Clear picture. Charge the batteries before installation. They were shipped with 80% so they werent completely drained. I love that installation had so much adjustment.

    Not what you’d think
    Doesn’t do continuous record, terrible motion sensitivity (PIR), battery life does not last more than 1½ days where its stated it should last a month. I like geeni, I have many indoor cameras, even the pet treat dispenser camera. Kinda shocked the freebird2 has let me down?? I wasn’t expecting this model to be so… bad…

    This outdoor solar security camera is great! I love how it is solar powered and it works all night long when there is motion! And the features that they give you to work with is great! Highly recommend this product! What I love is I can use it with my geeni app with my indoor security cameras!

    Stopped Working in the First Month
    I charged these and set them up. If the Internet went down, you had to delete them and re-add them. Small inconvenience. But then, the charge on them went very quickly when it said 3 to 6 months. I’ve recharged them several times, tried to go through the set up procedure, and will not read the QR code from my phone. Getting assistance from the company has been futile. I was waiting until this morning for a callback to make this review. I signed up for one on their website, and they never called. They are very aware of the problems that I’m having with this camera because I put in a support ticket. I wasted $100 on these cameras.UPDATE: I contacted them, they asked for a video of the cameras not working. It was submitted. So were the serial and model numbers. I have heard NOTHING from this company. DO NOT BUY THESE CAMERAS. They don’t work, cannot keep a charge, and the company does not help you at all when they fail.

    LIKE MY INDOOR GEENI BETTER.
    SOUND COMES ON WHEN I OPEN THE CAMERA BUT THEN IT GOES AWAY EVEN THOUGH CAMERA IS STILL LIVE AND RECORDING. I BOUGHT THIS BC I PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED AN INDOOR CAMERA AND IT PERFORMS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS OUTDOOR CAMERA. WORKS BUT ALL THE FEATURES DO NOT IS MY COMPLAINT. SOMETIMES THE MOTION DOESN’T PICK UP ON MOVEMENT UNTIL ITS RIGHT UP ON IT.

    The battery last 45 days but getting charged this thing literally die 3 to 4 hours in one charged if you looking for something to last a week or so in one charged look for something alse this is not it you literally have to keep it plug in at all time

    I kinda wish I could set up sound detection as well on here since it’s inside a shed. I would like to know they’re breaking in before the door opens. Otherwise it’s good. Before I got the panel up I used it for 4 days and the battery was still showing 100% so that’s good

    I love Geeni products but was saddened by this one. It will not stay connected to my wifi and I have a lot of experience with wifi and tech. It does have night vision which I previously reported it did not. It needs to be turned on in the settings. The camera ‘box’ itself is too loose on its swivel point – the end that actually screws into the back of the camera box. I added a drop of loktight to secure it and it overflowed on the piece that screws to the base, which is attached to a fixed post. It seemed to ‘eat’ the plastic and that part split and broke. Now my only choice is to try to attach the camera with zip ties which will limit the ability to face it in the direction I’d like. Because of all these trials, I haven’t yet had the camera outside in the rain. Once I actually get it set up, I really feel there will be a need to apply a putty like substance where the cable leaves the solar panel and where the cable plugs into the camera. With our hight winds and snow in any storms there isn’t a chance that water will not seep inside these joints. I can revisit and comment on that later. I have much success with the rechargeable cameras that stick magnetically and they stay outside in very severe weather conditions. I wish it was possible to replace the battery in them once they are several years old as they will not charge anymore.Updated Dec. 2024. Months after having this camera outside I finally decided to bring it back inside and see if I could troubleshoot. It hasn’t worked since I placed it outside shortly after purchasing but I kept the solar panel attached to maintain battery life. The battery does not work, it will not charge inside, connected to an outlet. It obviously will not reset nor power on for any length of time. When first plugged in to charge the red light comes on and lasts about 10 minutes. The solar panel leaked water from inside. My Geenie cameras have always worked great but this one has be a total problem. It’s going in the garbage and I do not recommend this camera.

    I wanted something economical but with certain features before jumping to a larger brand like nest or blink.So far, it’s been really good for what I wanted. The mount could maybe be a little better. It feels a bit flimsy if you have to adjust it often. Battery isn’t bad if it isn’t in a high traffic area. I had to make sure a sidewalk in front of the house wasn’t in frame, for instance. Which was on with what I needed.
