    Worked exactly as needed, great for a Bluetooth bulb
    For most people, this won’t be the right choice of bulb. It requires a bluetooth connection, either directly to your phone or to a Google Home or another GE device. If you don’t have another GE device or a Google home you shouldn’t buy this version, look for the “direct connect” Cync bulb. But if you do have one of those, this bulb is great, does everything I need it to, and to my eyes has much nicer white tones than the other GE bulb models.

    Sent refurb. Do not work. Buyer beware
    I ordered two bulbs new on Amazon prime day 2021. They arrived a few days later. Upon opening the box I pulled the bulb box out and realized that they were refurbished? Please see picture. There was a sticker saying that these products had a second life and the sticker was upside down even not even put on the right way. So I thought dang I don’t remember ordering refurbished light bulbs? Upon checking much later they are not refurbished light bulbs that I ordered they just sent me refurbished light bulbs instead of brand new ones. So now back to the story. I plug them into the lights that I bought them for. And turned the lights on. Right away there different colors. One is blaring bright white the other is almost a gold soft color. Okay I thought as long as I can change it I guess? Then I went into the Google home app which it says it’s compatible with but you need the connector apparently on the plug? Which is very vague and took a lot of digging so apparently Google home app does not work with this product. I repeat Google home app does not work with this product unless you buy several other things. Upon realizing that I could not use the Google home app I had to download the C by GE app. After downloading the other app and signing up and sending my information and all of that stuff it is unable to connect to either of the light bulbs. Meaning the light bulbs do not work properly and do not have Wi-Fi capability or we’re not fixed in the refurbishing process and do not connect to the app. Total waste of time total disappointment what a bummer. Wasted at least 3 hours trying to set these up. 3 hours of my life I will never get back. What a waste. And they send me refurbished ones and they couldn’t even put the sticker on correctly. LOL I’ve about had it with amazon. My last three or four orders have been totally screwed up.

    Doesn’t connect with Google Home
    I bought these light bulbs for my living room because my apartment has no overhead lighting. I wanted to be able to walk in my front door and tell google to turn on the lights so that I didn’t walk into a pitch black apartment. While they work great as light bulbs I cannot connect them to the Google Home app. I can only connect them to the C by GE app so I have to turn the bulbs on and off by using an app on my phone instead of the voice command I wanted. This is apparently a known problem trying to link the C by GE and Google Home app that makes these unusable with a Google Home.

    App is easy to use
    I initially hesitated to buy smart lightbulbs because I doubted they would add much convenience, but I was wrong. Being able to control my lights from my phone has been a huge help, especially as a new mom. With my hands full and the baby asleep, I don’t have to get up and risk disturbing her—I can just use my phone. It’s been a great purchase.

    75% of the time it works every time.
    Purchased these light about 2 years ago. Most amazing and convenient at first. After owning them for 2 years I have come to realize this technology is not there yet. I have had constant problems with these lights. At first one or two might not work once in a while. Now they will not work at all. I have factory reset them and contacted both Google and Cync multiple times. Sometimes they can help sometimes not. At one point Cync told me that they were aware of the problem and working on it. A month or two later I got the lights to work again. And they worked great for a few days. I really do love the idea of smart lighting. I have been factory resetting and attempting to reconnect bulbs for 6 months, I have not been able to get one light to work. I have google home minis in every room of my home and they work just fine. Do not waste your time and energy with this product.Update Called customer service and they were extremely helpful and patient. Got my lights set up and working reasonably well. The light now works through the Cync app ALMOST every time. Working with Google Home is not hit or miss. Cync says the issue is on Googles end and I believe them but the lights still do not work well enough with the google assistant to recommend. Lights are not really something that you want to gamble on working.

    I recommend these bulbs they are excellent for Google
    Okay I’m one person that is extremely smart home savvy I am. Everything is smart that I can possibly buy. I have Google displays in every room. I have a Google ecosystem in my home. Philips hue has been my go-to for years I still use Philips hue in certain areas. I thought I would give GE bulbs a try. When you can buy two color bulbs for the cost of one Philips hue why not give it a try right.I’m very pleased. Easy to set up especially with Google. I can set them up in the Google home app but I set them up in the GE smart app. The colors are excellent. The difference between Philips hue and the GE’s light bulbs the color spectrum is the same but the brightness in some colors is not as bright as the Philips. I also have LIFX and a couple spots in my house the LIFX are the brightest of all colors. But they cost a fortune as well. So the areas where I have just soft white Philips hue bulbs I’m replacing them with the GE smart bulbs colored. They work flawless I have no issues they don’t go offline they’re stable as the Philips hue. I would definitely recommend it especially if you’re getting into a smart home. But definitely try other products. Figure out which ecosystem you’re going to go with and buy your products based on whether it’s Amazon Alexa or Google home or Apple. A lot of frustrations people buy products that don’t work with a certain ecosystem. Do your research but I do recommend these bulbs to anyone

    no se pueden enlazar a alexa, (aun y cuando se tenga una alexa con hub integrado) pues para eso necesitas una app “C by GE” que no existe en el app store de Mexico. Otras opciones: comprar un enchufe inteligente de la misma marca GE, pero es doble gasto y no queda claro si con eso bastará para darle una utilidad a estos focos. Tienen razón los otros comentarios negativos en este sentido.

    El foco en sí es muy bueno, funciona sin problemas, se puede ajustar el brillo del 5% al 100%. El único inconveniente es que la instalación no es tan fácil, la app no es muy amigable como otras y si no se conecta por wifi al interruptor o al google assistant, se tiene que controlar por blutooth y siempre tarda en reconocer el dispositivo y poder controlarlo. Por otro lado, es el dispositivo más económico que he encontrado de este tipo (en oferta, menos de $200 MXP, así que vale la pena.

    El brillo de los focos es bueno. Sin embargo, la app para su uso no está disponible en iOS México, solo Android. El timer sí enciende los focos automáticamente pero no tiene la opción de apagar, se tiene que hacer manual con la app.
