    Outdoor us OK so far
    I searched for smart light bulbs that were recommended for outdoor use with no luck. I have been using another brand smart light for years but gave up on them because of awkward software. So I bought 4 Cync bulbs and installed them in my outdoor fixtures in October 2024. The bulbs are protected from weather on the top and sides but open on the bottom. Recent temperature have been in the low teens F (Chicago area). So far they have been working just fine.

    Great smart lights
    Great smart lights but can be difficult to set up on the app sometimes. I’ve used many of these bulbs and light switches in my house. Once you get it set up it seems to work fine but just getting it to set up is sometimes problematic. It is nice to be able to use them on different schedules throughout the day.

    Pretty Good Light.
    If you want a product that’s like the Phillips hue lights but not as expensive and works just as good…than look no further.I have a 3rd generation echo dot, and iPhone 11. The setup took around 10 minutes, I found it pretty easy, there are a few things that could affect setup like if you have a slow wi-fi connection, Alexa not set up properly, or too many devices connected to Bluetooth, or user error.I found it easier setting up with your phone first then configuring it with Alexa last. Due to the fact that you need to link the bulb(s) with the “Cync by GE” app in order to link the bulb(s) to your phone. Once you do that then the setup is easier and less likely to experience problems. Just take your time and don’t rush the process.The light is pretty bright and the colors are vibrant. There are many color/light options and you can change the brightness. The best thing I love about this that I can setup a routines on Alexa that sync up my light.I’ll buy more of these bulbs pretty soon. Yes

    The cync app constantly fails with Alexa and google
    The app continuously goes down at least 20 times a day a disconnects with Alexa AND Google. It will try your patience. Imagine being disabled with thumbs that are not attached so they are useless, coming home from the store and asking Alexa to turn lights on and it says….every single time….c by ge is not available. Then having to put your groceries down in the dark find your phone go to the cync app and turn it back on just to get your lights on. Not worth the aggravation. Better to flip the light switch. My son got them for me for the convenience being disabled and the convenience of the app is severely lacking. Not to mention the horrible customer service and the refund I never received. Shame on ge.

    Keep disconnecting
    This bulbs are great in theory. Easy install the FIRST time. Then they stopped working with google home. I googled how to reset them and added them again. Worked another 4 days and disconnected again. Now I’ve looked it up and it says common issue with these. Very annoying

    Good but needs improvement
    This product works intermittently and all the reviews that I have read say the same thing. It will work about 90% of the time and then it will not link with Google. Trying to call either Google or GE customer service you really don’t get anywhere they just talk in circles from somewhere India with broken English. If you buy it just be prepared that sometimes when you go to turn your lights off at bedtime. It won’t turn them off so you have to get up and manually turn off all your lights. Again it’s about 10% of the time that happens. I’ve only had to reset every light twice and two years. GE needs to get a better handle on this device communicating with Google nest hubs. My guess is whether you buy this or Philips or any other brand they’ve all got their glitches. 5 years from now that will probably be corrected when they come out with the newest versions. Strongly suggest doing the updates from time to time as that has seemed to help. All in all it’s better than walking around turning off 11 lights. Price is Right for what you get

    Best and Easiest Smart Home Light!
    This was the EASIEST smart home item that I have EVER paired up. I’ve been fiddling with smart home stuff since 2014, so I’ve gone through a lot of different types of (supposedly) smart items. The convenience is great once you have it set up right, but that can be a difficult thing to do. You don’t have to do anything like turn the light on and off three time, then you find out you didn’t do it fast enough, so you try again. Then it was too fast. And then maybe it’s blinking slow and not fast, so then you try again and now it’s blinking fast, but wait – it should be blinking slowly now! Yeah… That’s a thing of the past with these light bulbs.These bulbs are easier than everything else I’ve dealt with. I first got them at Target and it only took a week for me to come on here and buy more. I have a couple more light bulbs that I want to replace with these, so I’ll be back soon for my 3rd purchase.
