Works great!
I’ve had this a month now, and I’m really happy with it. I chose it over ring because there is no subscription. I was concerned it might not get a good camera view because as you can see in my photo, my doorbell is in a tight corner. I used the included optional angle mount piece and was amazed it captured my entire porch view. I was also easily able to set it to pick up a certain area so the semi-truck that occasionally drives down my neighborhood street wasn’t tracked. The night vision with my porch light on works great as you can see in the picture. The set up was easy, and fortunately I was able to cut my glass door trim piece a bit so it fit in my existing doorbell wired spot. When the lights go out, it sets itself back up with no help from me. I bought this because I had just moved in this house and someone would ring the doorbell and run off. I figured it was neighborhood kids, and sure enough I got good video of it. I’ll deal with that later LOL!!!. But, for now, I’m happy to have this added security.

A Very Good Doorbell, but…
I was looking for a wired video doorbell camera with no monthly fees and human detection. The Eufy Security camera met my wish list. I have had the camera more than a week now and I am very satisfied. The 2K resolution is very good. The notification is not immediate but it is good enough to capture the person at my door. I am not sure what else to write because it does everything as advertised. There was one big concern that is why I rated a four. My concern is this: I have three Samsung devices (S22, S8 and Tab S2). None of these devices were able to complete the installation. I received a message indicating the bluetooth failed to connect to the doorbell. Eufy Customer Service recommended I have Amazon exchange the doorbell, because it seemed to be defected. I too assumed the device was defected since I purchased a âRenewedâ door bell. When I received the exchanged device (another âRenewedâ door bell), I had the same problem, the bluetooth failed to connect. So tried my wifeâs Motorola (Moto E) phone. It worked! I opened the Eufy app on my Samsung devices and everything worked too. It is a very good door bell, so I would recommend it.

Awful customer service and poor performance after initial install
Update: After less than a year, the wireless version of the doorbell is now malfunctioning. It basically goes off with any movement in the view of the camera despite a highly restricted range of motion, setting to lowest sensitivity and set to âhumans onlyâ. Customer service is the worst! They want 14 pieces of documentation including your mothers birth verticals to look into things for you. Save yourself the bother and just buy. Ring in the first place!Original Review: My doorbell wiring was giving me fits when we had power outages, I got tired of replacing the transformer. The wireless version is not a simple plug and play to the mounting brackets from your wired doorbell. You will have to redrill to mount your mounting brackets and be prepared to pay for cloud hosting with the new wireless install. That said, itâs worth the extra effort as the picture quality is terrific and the rechargeable battery seems to be holding its own – looks like several months of use between recharge. Sadly, this is nowhere as long as my Blink cameras, but still reasonable given the intensity of use at the front door. Overall, Iâm very pleased.

Easy to set up and great to use
Coming from a Ring doorbell, I changed to this one to stop the monthly/yearly bills. I do use Eufy for security cameras around the house, so figured I just swap to a doorbell. This thing is simple to set up and works well. It’s pretty straightforward to set up. Just make sure you have a transformer that meets the specifications. I got the 16v 30va transformer and had no problems with the doorbell. One nice feature is the zone setting within the app to help with alerts and such.I’ve had no issues with other Eufy products, so not expecting any issues with this one. I do realize, though, that this probably won’t connect with the home base 3. While the other devices on the Eufy app display that they are able to connect with HB3, this doorbell doesn’t. I can’t say 100% as I don’t own one, but that’s my guess since it doesn’t have an option to add it to HB3 on the app.No issues at this time. Will update if any do come up. Got this renewed, and had an issue with a part, but the seller made it very easy to get that broken part replaced, and everything else was great.

Easy To Install And Monitor!
This doorbell product works well. I bought a refurbished, wired 2K doorbell operated by my 16V, 30A transformer. As described, the doorbell will not ring my two old charms, but I did not have to use the jumper wires. I left the wires alone to operate my old backdoor bell button. Only problem was connecting to Bluetooth to set up the system. It would not connect until I used the setup codes (QR) on the device and not the QR code on the instruction card. The setup code was different. The supplied AC Wi-Fi charm works well. The doorbell camera image quality is excellent. Human detection works well. Mobile app is easy to use and monitors everything as promised. I do recommend this doorbell highly.

Good but IMPORTANT – odd installation complication
Overall the product (once installed) does work well: video quality is good…motion detection and application alerting is performing well. Reason for this product being selected was to avoid monthly maintenance fee, which is a feature plus.IMPORTANT: the installation requires Bluetooth connectivity and the vendor’s provided configuration QR code documentation in the box is NOT matching the physical devices they ship. This will cause the configuration to fail every time unless the documentation is disregarded and/or you cross-check to the product code details physically on the doorbell device. The mismatch between device & documentation seems to be chronic (noted back as early as 2021??)…and so VERIFY the alpha-numeric code on the physical doorbell either matches and/or use it in lieu of the documentation QR code. Noting this as vendor’s own technical support group did not bring this up in support discussions…but instead located the troubleshooting discussions in a separate support board.

This was the third brand of video doorbell camera we tried.The first was an Energizer Connect and it was DOA right out of the box. And the eBay vendor we got it from had no more stock.The second was a Kasa. It initially worked fine, however it would not stay connected to its (Android) app for more than about a day or two. It also, instead of the motion/person detection working, would just record hundreds of exactly 1 minute long recordings on an installed SD card. After much time on chat with their customer service, they concluded it was defective.This one however works (so far!) great. The installation was the most straightforward of the three brands. Just be sure, as mentioned in other reviews, to use the QR code on the back of the device not on the one on the box when you get to that step.It is easy to adjust, and the person sensing (which can be turned off) does a good job of not causing false alerts from other motion seen. Activity zones and privacy zones are easy to set up. It does not have a âpackage waitingâ alert feature however.Even though we only bought the 2K wired version, the daytime and night (black & white) picture quality is excellent.I also like that from the phone app you can download and save a video or image directly with just a click. (On the Energizer and Kasa you have to remove the SD card and get the videos/images from there.)That it has built-in local storage is a big plus. No SD card to buy and no monthly fees. (There is cloud storage available too for a monthly/yearly charge.)

Been using this Eufy Wired Door bell for quite some time now.My biggest issues are as followed:1. The doorbell keeps going offline.2. Terrible motion sensor, 70% false positives. Its so dumb that it would identify an insect as a human and send notifications and on the contrary A lot of time my Amazon Parcels gets delivered on porch, and the doorbell wouldnât sense anything at all.3. 8-10 second lag between whats shown on camera & actual event. I could go out, and literally see my self on camera while sitting on my couch.4. The in built mike is pathetic. You can hardly talk to the person.5. Usage of the word AI is fake. This is the dumbest camera Iâve used. Unfortunately its too late for me to return. Would never use Eufy products.6. Night vision is pathetic. You canât even read my car number place which is parked just 6 ft from the doorbell. Check picPositives:1. Easy set up.2. No monthly fees.

I got this to replace my SkyBell HD doorbell from about 2 years ago. That doorbell worked well except the live view could take several seconds to begin, if it did at all, the microphone/speak feature didn’t work great.This doorbell works really really well. The live view is almost instantaneous and the picture quality is really clear.When the app is up on Live View, for example, and you go back to Home/or other app when you click on the app again it picks up from where it was .. Live View, Device page, settings, or other.Picture quality is excellent and the microphone is sensitive.Love this doorbell
