    Works as described
    This was our first video doorbell and after reviews bought the Eufy to have a home storage for recordings and no cloud monthly fees. The quality of the video is good and detects people/packages accurately. One is able to enter ‘family’ members so it identifies expected people. The only drawback is that when my husband and I go out the back door on the weekend some 39 times when gardening it records all these. Thankfully the phone app allows to to delete all 39 recordings in one go but I haven’t found a way to stop it from recording family. The night vision is good and on detection of motion lights up which is helpful when trying to put the key in the door lock.It was easy to set up The only thing I wasn’t prepared for was that you will need an updated transducer for the doorbell if you plan to ‘plug’ it into your old and preexisting doorbell. Those are inespensive but would have saved several hours trying to get it to charge before calling support.

    This is a good Doorbell Camera
    I have been using a Google nest doorbell camera. I have one on my front door and one at the side door. As I travel and try to view the cameras they never seem to connect and time out. As a network technician I know it’s not my network. After notifying Google and getting no help I decided to make the switch to e u f y. I have the home base along with it and must say it is very easy to install. The picture quality and sound quality are excellent. Battery life seems to be tremendous! And I like the feature that as you come near the camera it lights up the walkway making it easy to both walk and open the door with your keys. Setting up notifications makes it convenient and facial recognition is a wonderful feature. I am very impressed and unlike Google doorbell cams I like the chimes that I can make ring in my house so I know when somebody rings the doorbell

    Simple and no subscription
    Extremely easy to install and set up. Nice I can add to it in the future too. Price is really great.Tech support is really good to as the app on my phone glitches and they responded quickly.No subscription!!!

    So far these Eufy cameras are good
    I’m trying out these Eufy cameras for the first time. Because they are all set up along with the base unit it seems to make set up pretty easy. Picture quality on this doorbell camera could be better. But it’s good. I had the ring cameras and alarm for the past 3 years. And they are good too. I just don’t like Auto renewals. Most of them are taking my money and saying nothing. No receipt, no nothing. I’m just expected to know when it’s coming I guess and how much money. So I’ve gotten rid of all the auto renewals that I had.

    Improved.
    The AI has improved over the other models. It can recognize faces and packages being dropped off and picked up. You can only use the home base with smart speakers for use as extra chimes also you can use something like alexa show. Or you can use eufy chimes separately. If you use the home base the eufy chimes can’t be used with it. Doesn’t make sense but that’s how they made it.

    Non subscription video doorbell
    I am nervous how the video is being used and the security of the device. Free is never free, but it works great, and I have had no issues. The tracking is great. The night vision and light that turns on is great. The battery life is fantastic.
