I love Eufy outdoor battery cams
I have five outdoor battery cameras from Eufy. Great products. Never confuses their outdoor battery cams for the absolute crap that they sell as their indoor cams. While Eufy makes stupendous outdoor cameras, their indoor cameras are the worst garbage.

I love the Eufy camera line, especially the higher-end 4k cameras that have the built-in radar, AI recognition, and color night vision features.  Eufy is a well-established and quality manufacturer of consumer video equipment, and I have been a long-term user of their products, including their video doorbell line. This camera has excellent daytime quality that is hard to differentiate between the higher-end cameras if daytime or lighted close-up scenes are all you need.  If that is all you need, this is the camera to buy.  Of note, this camera has 1080P resolution, which is 50% less than the Eufy 2C Pro at 2k.  Even so, this camera provides excellent features for the price.  The included solar panel is rated 2W, and this works well to keep the camera charged if the panel has direct sunlight throughout the day (I’m in Texas where the sunlight is good throughout the year). I’ve noticed that I need to upgrade to 5-watt or better panels when cameras are partially obscured from the sun, so that is something to consider when purchasing this bundle.  You may also need more than 2W if the camera is located where there is a lot of activity, or you live farther north.  What we currently use this camera for is to watch a side yard that has little activity (other than the dog playing in the yard).  For simple, close-up video monitoring, this is great. If you need better resolution, I recommend then the 2C Pro, or even the more expensive 4k line with the motion detecting radar.  Overall, this is a great company that makes quality products that last well in outdoor environments and is highly recommended!  Just know your use case before buying.

If you were to buy both of these units today at current prices on Eufy’s site, you would pay $179.98, so the current Amazon price for the bundle of $109.99 represents a significant 39% savings. Eufy sells the camera alone directly for $119.99. FYI, this bundle is apparently not sold anywhere else other than Amazon; not even from Eufy’s website.Although the 2C is a 4-year-old highly-regarded model, it perfectly integrates with the Homebase 2 ecosystem. Eufy still fully supports it. The camera has an ip67 water-resistance rating, while the solar panel is ip65. Unlike many other Eufy offerings, the camera incorporates a floodlight.Eufy says the camera’s battery will last up to 180 days, but I’ve found that’s always somewhat inflated with all manufacturers, so the 2.6 watt solar panel will ensure you will never need to charge it. Note that Eufy states that “Only certified eufy Security solar panels can sync with eufyCam to ensure correct power management. Non-certified solar panels may damage the eufyCam battery.” So, buying the bundle makes even more sense than buying a camera and outfitting it with some no-name solar panel.I don’t think I’d use 1040p cameras for my primary units, but that resolution is fine (and cheaper) for parts of your property have no doors or easily-accessed windows. Or to inexpensively monitor your driveway or garage door. I’ve found Eufy’s 1040p tech to vastly outperform others like Blink and Wyze.I have had another 2C (S210) for a while, and the night vision is impressive. And the solar panel charges even on dull, cloudy days, albeit not at full current.Recommended, especially since you’re essentially getting the camera for 50 bucks over the price of the rarely-discounted solar panel.Deserving of my rarely-awarded 5 stars.My rating system:5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park. I needed a security camera in front of my garage, so I gave it a try despite some skepticism. It’s been great – the view is wide enough to see from the sidewalk to my garage door, keeping me informed about whether it’s closed or not. I’m very satisfied with this purchase, especially since there are no monthly fees.
