Wireless security camera system
Included in this package: Three cameras, three solar panels, wiring, and a homebase 2.There is no manual, just a quick start guide. No problem though, Once you have the app installed, everything is just a few clicks, there is no documentation of the details but none is needed. It is among the easiest installs I’ve done. First charge all the cameras, then download and install the app, then set up the home base, then initialize a camera to the homebase in close proximity to the homebase, then take that camera to the install spot to check WIFI signal strength, then do physical install of bases for camera and solar panel. Repeat steps for each camera.Cameras give a clear pictures, it is color in daylight and monochrome in darkness. Motion detectors are sensitive enough to be annoying if desired, there are sensitivity adjustments to control the number of alerts and length of video clip with that alert. The homebase is a storage unit for videos for any camera added to the system which means no cloud storage needed, it is all on site. Homebase needs to be in a strong WIFI signal area, the cameras need to have WIFI access but do not have to be close to the homebase. After the camera’s initial set-up, it communicates with homebase through the WIFI network. Cameras are indoor/outdoor and the solar panel plug has a rubber seal to keep moisture out of the USB port. My older camera from the same manufacturer still works with the app in addition to the other cameras. To add it to the homebase, I will have to take it down from a pole and bring it inside to add it to the homebase. (so it is good for now, LOL)Equipment seems to be really solid and my one year old camera of same manufacturer, which is exposed to weather, has been extremely dependable so I expect the new ones to perform just as well. The homebase makes video retrieval easy, click “Events” at the bottom of screen in the app then choose and event to view from the list of events from all cameras. It will replace a wired system which recorded everything 24/7 from six cameras which sounds great until one event has to be found out of the hours and hours of recordings. I believe this system will be adequate for needs here, I just do not need months of recording. This system is much easier to install than a wired system as long as there is a good WIFI network in place. The only problem I have with the system is mounting brackets of cameras and solar panels. They are plastic like material and could be easier to tighten and adjust. Their year-old camera has a much better mounting system.I am very please with this entire system. These mounts are about mid range of several systems I’ve installed this year, while the cameras are as good or better than the others and installation is easiest of all the systems I’ve seen lately. There are plenty of options regarding what to record and how much to record.Good, easy to install system.

Solar makes these great for outdoors
Overall, I’m very happy with this 3 pack camera kit with solar panels. The camera themselves are 1080p which is the minimum I suggest for cameras (720p is too grainy especially in low light). The quality of the image is good in daylight. At night time the details are still reasonably good for IR, but the built in light option can switch the camera to a color display which improves the image. What really makes this set worth ordering is the solar panels! The solar panels allow me to mount the cameras in places that are hard to get to, which makes them more secure as well. I wish the cables were 3-6ft longer as I have a two story house and had to mount the solar panels on the roof trim. I’ve used them about a week and even in overcast fall weather the charge has been enough to keep them self-sufficient. This also brings up the main drawback I have with these cameras… the battery is not removable. My concern is in a few years the battery won’t hold a charge anymore and the cameras will need to be replaced. There is also a minor detail that the USB cable is very hard to insert properly. Once in the cable creates a waterproof seal, so its only an issue during installation. As for the app, it is similar to other cameras I use. It doesn’t seem to provide a GeoFence option. I don’t know if this option becomes available with a paid plan. Since these are outdoor cams (no reason to buy solar panels for indoor use), this is a minor issue because I leave the cams active at all times.I have a dog and I’m glad to see the human detection seems to work well. I have some detections from my dog, but the sensitivity can be adjusted if needed. I would rather have occasional false detections than risk missing an important one.

Good value system
The best part about this system is no monthly fee. It works on your own internet and using the home base to send you notifications when an incident occurs.Setup was easy. install the app, set up the home base on your phone pairing it to your network, and then pair the cameras up. Setting up the cameras on the house was easy too. There are some template stickers included so you can easily predrill holes and install with the included hardware. As far as video quality its… ok. for the price no complaints really, but you are not going to get clear pictures of faces with this 1080p kit. Eufy has some higher definition cameras and I will be adding a few of those as well as a better home base, but as a way to just know if somebody is coming up this is good. The cameras are also microUSB which was disappointing, but they are hooked up to solar panels, so its not likely to be any kind of problem. Even without the solar panels given the battery life this would be a minor inconvenience. The night vision is impressive and getting notifications when anything is happening outside is a nice piece of mind. The homebase 2 is also pretty basic. They say on the website they might one day allow extra storage but it seems that has been abandoned. It has 32 gigs onboard though and that seems to be plenty After a month and a half and lots of activity I am at ~25% full.I will say it seems the 2k camera and homebase 3 system looks a lot better, but if you are on a budget or this is on a good sale then its probably a good enough kit to give you a way of checking on your home.
