Rethink home automation with the Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus In-Wall Smart Fan Control. When paired with a compatible hub, the hardwired smart control operates and adjusts the speed of ceiling fans through individual commands and programmed settings. Wirelessly control the fan’s schedule and speed for effortless management of your home. Your automation possibilities are seemingly infinite when connected to hubs from Wink, SmartThings, HomeSeer, Vera, Nexia and more.
Switch upgrade – Easily replace any standard in-wall switch to remotely turn on or off and adjust speed levels – high, medium and low settings – of a ceiling fan.
Multiple fans – Wirelessly control and schedule up to two fans from the same in-wall switch
Dedicated device – The smart control is specifically designed to operate fans speeds. It cannot be use with lighting. However, lights on fans equipped with three wires – typically red, black and white – can be separately controlled using an additional Enbrighten Z-Wave switch or dimmer.
Range extender – The fan control repeats your Z-Wave signal from your hub or other Z-Wave device to extend your range by up to 150ft. Extended signal range increases your home automation coverage to enhance your control.
Changeable paddles – White and light almond paddles are included to match your existing switches. Additional colors of the easily changeable paddles are also available.
Universal compatibility – Z-Wave Plus and all previous Z-Wave generations work together to allow continued expansion of your home-automation network.
Customers say
Customers find the electronic switch functional and easy to install. It works seamlessly with their automation systems like Home Assistant and ADT. They appreciate the Z-Wave functionality. However, some customers are unhappy that it doesn’t support Smart Start via QR code. Opinions differ on fan control.

Works great with Home Assistant, buying a second one
Works great with Home Assistant + Z-Wave JS UI.Quality seems great and on par with Zooz switches.Pairing was easy via Z-Wave JS UI inclusion mode. However, it did not support the QR-code provisioning entries “Smart Start” method that I prefer.I can toggle on/off easily in HA, but for speed control it only supports 0-100% slider so you need to know the thresholds to know which speed setting (1 to 3) you are in. There might be a workaround, but out of the box it shows the slider. Easy install and integration
Very easy to install and integrate. It is used with our ADT automation system and works seamlessly as needed. ADT integration also gives us the ability to us Alexa voice commands as well.

Good basic smart fan control
Works good and easily integrated into Hubitat. The lack of a star is that it would be really nice to have some visual indication as to the level of the fan.

Works well with Hubitat
A few years ago, I installed a ceiling fan with a separate switch to control the fan. As I’ve got various forms of automation around my house, having the fan controlled also seems natural, enter this switch.I’d prefer a toggle type switch, but I didn’t find one for the fan, so I made due.Packaging was acceptable, install slightly harder than a conventional light switch due in part to the neutral wire required and it being a bit larger physically.I suggest joining it to your Hubitat/Smarthings/etc hub before installing unless the hub is right there. I have a bit of lamp cord expressly for this purpose and so can add switches within a few feet of the hub.In Hubitat, I cannto remember what driver it defaults to and whther it was a usable driver or not. I used Hubitat Package Manager to obtain a custom driver for this switch. This driver allows for adjusting speed as well as other things outside my expertise. The switch does not appear to make reversing the fan’s direction possible but I only do that twice a year.Automation is a function of yoru hub and the drivers chosen. When I add more fans to my house, I’ll either buy more of this switch or whatever its successor product is.

Received used item
The packaging for the switch wasn’t taped shut. Additionally these switched come with a piece of wire to connect to your neutral line. Mine did not have this piece of wire. Luckily I have my own wire but it’s ridiculous to charge people full price and then send them used or returned items with missing parts.Other than that, the switch appears to be working as expected and integrated into Home Assistance with ease.
