Easy and effective smart switch
This review is for the Add-On Switch, which works as a “slave” in a 3-way setup with a second Enbrighten switch, which works as the “master.” I found it easy to install myself and works like a charm. A few notes:The “master” switch must receive power from the breaker panel. So, you need a tester to ensure you know which switch is receiving power from the breaker. I have two of these 3-way setups at my house and in both cases it was the switch farthest away from the breaker that was receiving power from the breaker, and hence the master switch must go there. The add-on switch is installed in the secondary switch location. The master switch is also the switch that you’ll add to your smart home setup. I’m using SmartThings, and adding the master switch was as easy as scanning the QR code. No need to do it again with the add-on switch. The dimmer control is nice: just hold the up or down paddle for a moment and the light will dim. Of course, you can also ask Alexa to dim the lights.

Works Great w/SmartThings
Works good. I purchased this switch to replace one that I thought was bad. Turns out these sometimes quit due to a power surge or outage and only need to be reset. Simply pull the hot wire on the side of the switch, wait 10 seconds and reinsert. The blue light should then come on when flipping the switch.

Make your house smarter…
I’ve installed 50+ of these at multiple locations. They are my go to for smart switches. Easy enough to sync with your smart hub. generally speaking, the one drawback is that they occasionally fail when their are line issue/glitches/surges. I have 8 running in my own home at the moment. Would buy again

Simple installation and easy to add to hub
I have been using these GE switches for about 5 years and have had mixed luck with them. The original switches that are not zwave plus have slowly been dying on me. I’ve replaced 3 that were about 4 years old. For a switch that costs over $30 they should last longer than that… GE replaced one under warranty, but the other 2 were out of warranty. This new zwave plus version has been working well. I have 3 of these new ones, but the oldest is only 2 years. Time will tell if they last longer than the originals. I have started buying other brand zwave switches, but again can’t comment on longevity. The Zooz switches come with a 5 year warranty though. I also have a couple Leviton switches. There are many more options than there were 5 years ago.Overall this switch works well and I had no problem installing them in the electrical boxes. They are slimmer than the originals and don’t have the tabs on the side. This version still requires a neutral, so check that you have one in the electrical box before buying. Adding this to my smart things hub was simple. This device uses the newer secure setup, so make sure to take note of the serial number on the device since you will need the last digits to add the switch to the hub.

Works with ADT Pulse
I have been using these light switches for years with the ADT Pulse system to control various lights. Theyâre easy to install and enroll into the Pulse system. They need a neutral wire to operate so make sure you have a neutral in the box. A lot of older homes do not have neutral wires in existing light switch boxes so double check before ordering this switch.

Great Product, that does not last
As a consumer who has invested in home automation technology, I regret to say that my experience with the Enbrighten Z-Wave In-Wall Smart Light Switch with QuickFit and SimpleWire has been disappointing, to say the least. Despite its promises of convenience and efficiency, I’ve found myself needing to replace these switches far more frequently than anticipated. One of the primary issues I’ve encountered with these smart light switches is their durability, or lack thereof. Despite being touted as long-lasting and reliable, I’ve found that the switches tend to malfunction or fail altogether after just a couple of years of use. Whether it’s a sudden loss of connectivity, unresponsive controls, or complete system failure, the reliability of these switches leaves much to be desired.Furthermore, the need for frequent replacements adds up in terms of both time and money. Not only am I forced to spend additional funds on purchasing new switches, but I also have to invest valuable time and effort into uninstalling the old ones and installing the replacements. This becomes particularly frustrating when considering the initial investment made in setting up and integrating these smart switches into my home automation system.Additionally, the installation process, while marketed as simple and straightforward, can be cumbersome and time-consuming, especially when dealing with replacement switches. The promise of QuickFit and SimpleWire features falls short when faced with the reality of compatibility issues and the need for additional adjustments and troubleshooting.Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend the Enbrighten Z-Wave In-Wall Smart Light Switch with QuickFit and SimpleWire to other consumers. While the concept of smart home technology is undoubtedly appealing, the lack of reliability and longevity exhibited by these switches ultimately outweighs any potential benefits they may offer. Until significant improvements are made in terms of durability and performance, I would advise exploring alternative options for home automation needs.
