Can withstand a hurricane!
I wanted an outdoor timer that was easy to set up. This is the best purchase I have made AND hooks up with Alexa so I can control it if I want to! We just endured heavy rain and wind from the hurricane and it kept our string lights plug dry and had no issues! We got the 2 plug and Iâm so glad I did so at Christmas we can plug in 2 diff lights and each will have its own on/off schedule. 12/10 would recommend to everyone!

And I love that they put their own touch on the interface even in there, looking like their own app entirely.The two individually controllable outlets double the value for me, Iâd say. And the clamshell waterproof design is ideal for weird weather places like the Midwest. Iâm hoping it holds out through all the storms, but seems rest solidly built.

Overall good, just a bit odd with how it actually connects
This is a great unit & was just what I needed for my backyard, with 2 outlets that could be controlled separately. I really like that it has an enclosure for the outlets & set up is pretty straightforward.The main issue I ran into is it doesn’t seem to actually communicate with the app on your phone over your wifi, which seems to be the main point of having it connected to the wifi in the first place.Once I set everything up it functioned fine on its own, but I would receive notifications that it was having timing issues each time it was supposed to be working. If I checked the app in a part of the house that was far from the unit itself (while still being on the same wifi network) it would show that it was offline. Once I got close to the unit, it would show online. That tells me the phone is connecting via Bluetooth and not over the wifi network since distance between the phone & the unit shouldn’t matter if it is over the network & I have other wifi enabled devices (my landscape controller) in the same area of this outlet.So it sends error alerts if you are not close enough for the phone to connect to it directly & It also sends alerts if you are away from the house and would not be able to connect to the unit at all even it it was communicating via wifi. Even though I was getting these notifications when my phone wasn’t directly connected to the unit, the unit WAS still functioning & running through its schedules when I would walk out and check though.So in the end it works and does everything I need – I would just suggest setting it up & turning off notifications to leave it like any other non-“smart” timer. Still worth getting if you need a nice enclosed outlet timer that can control the 2 outlets separately. Just set it up and treat it like a standard timer and turn off the notifications once you have it in place.

Canât remember if I already reviewed this product already or not. The device was simple to install and connect with my home WiFi network. I use it to control the lights and fan in my backyard gazebo. The lights and fan can be controlled independently and from any distance using the Google Home app. I could be on the other side of the planet and control them as long as I have a WiFi connection. The connect has been extremely stable. Have never had a connection issue. The device provides weather proof power connections so no worries about shorting out during even the heaviest rainstorms we have experience (weâve had some very sever ones). Still functioned at 20 degree F. Couldnât have found a better device. I am a retired aerospace engineer and shopped around to find the best product.

Worked great until we lost power during Hurricane Helene. When power was restored 12 hours later, this didnât work. Moved to a different outlet, nothing. Canât get to a hard reset. But as a follow-up, they replaced the unit which I’m sure will work well, as it did prior to my issue. Good customer support.

We purchased this product for controlling the lights and door for our chicken coop remotely. This timer was fairly easy to install. A App is downloaded from the phone store then searched for and found device on our network. The app gives the time setting in military time which confused my wife a little but other than that it all went well and another convenience has been added to the coop. I guess the only thing we think of to improve from 5 to 5+ star would be if a transformer plug would fit enclosed with the receptacle in order to keep dust out. This adds so much convenience and energy savings at a very affordable price.
