    I use google home for all smart devices. Used it for my office TV and it was a breeze to setup and use. Google identified and could control it without any hitches. Totally recommended.

    I have a Google smart home. So my review is based on using the ELEGRP Matter Supported Mini Smart Plug with that in mind. Spoiler alert, I like this smart plug a lot.If I can manage it with an “Ok Google”, it’s something I want. Now, after I got this smart plug, I want things that work when I say “Ok Google” and are “matter” enabled.When this first arrived, I was dreading the idea of installing another app on my phone. Yes, you could install the ELEGRP Home App, but you don’t have to if you have Apple Homekit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or Samsung SmartThings.In Google Home, select Devices and the plus sign to add a new device. Select Matter Enabled device, scan the code, follow some simple prompts and whamo your device is added. Just like a Google product. It works.I am a happy and changed nerd. What more can I say? I guess it can be summed up with “Matter” matters!__________________________As mentioned, I have a Google smart home. I only get stuff that works with Google.Nest Doorbell Cam – 1Nest Outdoor IQ Cam – 1Google Outdoor Cam (wired) – 6Nest Outdoor Cam (battery) – 1Google mini – 6Google home – 1Lots of smart bulbsGE Sync (pretty good), Philips Hue (junk), Wemo (junk), Lenovo (total crap), lepro and a bunch of no name brands (which are all pretty good).Lots of smart light switches/dimmersTP link, Wemo, I think another other brand tooLots of smart plugs (like this one)TP Link, Wemo, I think another other brand tooB-Hyve for irrigation.Apps I needed to install:Hut BT, Wemo, Smart Life, Tether, Lenovo Link Pro, Kasa, Cync, Lepro LampUX, b-hyve….     No Response
    I have “Google Home” app with 2 cameras on it and tried to add it to that.I then downloaded the “Home app”, plugged this in to an outlet, held the button on the plug 5 seconds and set this up on the app. Once in the app I get a “No Response” from the plug.I am now in the process of getting a Google Nest Hub so I can connect to this. I should have just gotten a TP-Link Kasa Plug (as specified in the Google Home app to add a device) to begin with.I am giving this a 3 star review anyway for the benefit of the doubt.

    Easily paired to homekit
    This outlet works great on apple homekit and pairs easily. I’m using this on a dumb space heater that triggers based on a zigbee temperature sensor. It works great for me and goes on and off automatically based on room temperature. I also went 1 step further and made it only trigger when presence is detected in the room. This plug stays paired and works perfectly for my use.

    For a matter plug it works good
    Now that I have setup a couple matter devices the process seems to be easier, but still not as easy as a z-wave or zigbee device to me. Overall this is a good compact plug that is rated for the full 15amps that a normal outlet is so that is a plus. Along with the fact that it is UL listed this is a decent choice if you are looking for a matter plug right now.

    Great introduction into home automation! Easy to setup, easy to use.
    These smart plugs are a great way to get into home automation! Plug these into your wall, and plug in your favorite device! SmartLife app is easy to install and setup. These switches appeared almost immediately and were easy to setup. I gave each one a meaningful name. The smart life device gives you the ability to setup schedules and to link devices together. Use your imagination, and you can probably do it!I have automated all of the lights in my home using the SmartLife application with devices made by many different manufacturers. While you can use a variety of devices with an Alexa or Google Home, I would strongly suggest using one application to manage a majority of your devices. SmartLife is a great choice, as it has switches, outlets, sensors and light bulbs.These smart plugs are thinner then other brands. They have a manual button which can be set into “parental mode” (touch x 4 to activate) to prevent accidental misuse.Pro-tip: I use one of these switches on my computer, so I can reboot my computer even when I’m not at home. If my computer locks up, or I lose access, I can simply turn it off and back on.
