Connect to Alexa easily
Follow the directions when connecting these to the Alexa app! You don’t need another app to use them. I have only had them a short time but they have not had any disconnection issues. Definitely easy to setup and worth the money! The only issue you may have is that Alexa needs to scan a arcade that is on the plug on the opposite side of the plug’s power button. So, if it is in a hard to reach place, it may be tough to connect it for the first time.

I was very skeptical about buying these. I usually spend a lot more for my HomeKit setupΓ’ΒΒ¦I wonΓ’ΒΒt mention the brands but they are a major company. When these arrived I was truly ready for issues with connectivity and had it all planned out in my head to send them back and most likely have to spend lots of money on the Γ’ΒΒothersΓ’ΒΒ. Terrible experience with other Matter smart plugs that IΓ’ΒΒve returned. These have been great and a reasonable price. None of the No Response headache IΓ’ΒΒve had with other devices. An improvement over other budget smart plugs, but how do you update the firmware?
The WiFi seems weak so you might not be able to use these everywhere, but at $5 per unit they are a good value. I am concerned that I donΓ’ΒΒt see any way to update the firmware so any security holes might be there forever. If you have solved that, add that comment. Thank you.Once placed in the proper location, this was a quick add to Apple Home and moving it to a different room with a different access point was not a problem.

UPDATE 3: After a couple of weeks all disconnected and never worked again. Absolute JUNK. UPDATE2: After a few days it’s obvious these won’t work. They don’t stay connected to wifi and randomly power cycle. Can’t imagine what they could be used for that would tolerate that. Update1: have odd, quick, on-off cycles, almost like a power blip, about twice a day. It only happens to these, so not sure what is going on. Will keep an eye. Couldn’t be used on sensitive electronics. ORIGINAL: Homekit add with QR code. One and done. Simplest add I’ve done. Meross better figure it out or this company will crush them. Matter is best!
