Not a Ring and much cheaper
It’s tricky to get it to accept setup. Picture quality depends on the Wi-Fi of course. But it’s a good value, detecting things moving nearby (you can control sensitivity) and you can see who’s at the door.

Nice to Have a Doorbell Camera
This wireless doorbell camera offers a convenient way to find out who is knocking at our door. We do not need to get up when we are at home or when we are away to find out who is there. The installation of this doorbell was relatively easy, using a couple of screws that were included in the package. It operates with two rechargeable batteries that are connected in parallel, meaning that you can take out one for charging, and the doorbell is still operational. I was concerned initially that the charge on these batteries would not last and that it would be a hassle to keep recharging them. That was not the case because the charge lasted much longer than a week before they needed charging.The iCam365 app was easy to install on my Android phone and iPad. It provides real-time and recorded views of the videos it captures, which are recorded on the 32GB memory card that came with the device. The app has an option for cloud storage, which requires a subscription but was not necessary for me. The doorbell camera captured clear images during the daytime but not as well with black-and-white photos at night.The app can push alerts if it detects motion or a human and when the battery charge is low. The notification interval is configurable, but I have mine at one minute. However, I get a lot of false humanoid detection alerts despite the detection sensitivity setting at Low. The microphone on the doorbell and the app are sensitive, but the sound on both sides sounds scratchy. The sound quality is acceptable, but I wish it were more clear.

Excited to use!
So I have not installed this yet as I am moving and it will go on my new residence. But it looks to be well made and pretty sturdy! In the box is a set of rechargeable batteries and power cord, items for mounting, and instructions. And it has a 32 gig SD card already installed, which is great! I love that there is no monthly charge in order for use. Excited to use, and will update in a few months!

No MAC address given, low wifi security
I use a MAC address white list with my switch/router. The MAC address of this camera is not shared. It’s not listed on the box or on/in the camera. So I would have to disable a large part of my networks security just to use this camera.The camera’s booklet basically warns that using it like you would expect to (live view) will drain the batteries quickly.The thing needs you to enable too many permissions for things it doesn’t need just to continue on in the process. This was not the camera for me.

A lovely looking doorbell camera but it refused to connect to my WiFi.I disliked the rauctious American accent which asked me wait to configure the camera. Having charged it for 15 hours and followed the app, īt still failed to connect. I tried many times, checking my network and password and doing everything as directed. It would have been so useful to have a security camera in a doorbell if it had worked.The first and second time I scanned the QR code on the back of the camera (I thought it would help me connect) I was taken to 2 websites which were about to charge me £29.90 subscription for their services. Obviously scams. I rang my bank and had the subscriptions stopped.I returned the item after quite a stressful experience.

As with most things in life you get what you pay for and costing a substantial amount less than the well known brands this doorbell camera performs as you’d expect, it isn’t as easy to use as they are, the quality is lower and the operation is sporadic at times, if you want a cheap and cheerful version of a more expensive doorbell camera it’s worth a try, if you want the functionality and quality of the bigger brands, you’ll need to increase your budget somewhat.
