    Better than my Blink
    About a year ago, I purchased a Blink doorbell. It worked OK but it would take 20 or more seconds to access the camera with the phone app. This was a detriment if I needed to communicate with someone on the front porch in a reasonable amount of time. Some folks just up and left because it took me so long to answer on the app. After all this, I decided to pay a little more and invest in a Ring Doorbell 4. I am so glad I did. It was extremely easy to install and there is plenty of hardware included for many installation scenarios. It was easy to set up and, oh my goodness, I can now access the camera with the app in within just a few seconds. The resolution and picture quality is pretty decent as well. Not the best on the market but very good for the price. If you are torn between getting a Blink or a Ring, do yourself a favor and go with the Ring. Keep in mind that each of the Ring doorbell models has different capabilities. Some will not work with a 5Ghz router. This one works with either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz routers. I have three Ring devices now and am very pleased with all of them. Just in case you are wondering, the Blink did find a home at the back door and is working OK there as a camera and family doorbell. To be fair to Blink, however, there may be better models than the one I purchased so do your research and ask a lot of questions. All I know is that all of my Ring devices work as they should.

    Better than expected!!
    We switched from blink to ring and were skeptical at first but it’s so perfect! It was very easy to install (my husband did have to get a mason drill bit to install it into the brick), but the app walks you through the whole process. The camera quality is amazing, even at night! We bought the refurbished one to save on money and you would have thought it was brand new! It needs to be charged every three weeks. It also has the ability to change the motion zones and you can get notifications when your packages are delivered! It’s so much more than expected! We just wish we could use it with our doorbell system instead of buying a separate one.

    BETTER WIDE ANGLE VIEW THAN LAST DOORBELL
    We had doubts buying this, it is an earlier version of our current doorbell. I WAS WRONG! It has a better wide angle view, we love the ability to see more. So far, the doorbell is working great!

    Peace of mind – GO FOR IT
    I have always been skeptical of this camera until a family friend bought one for my mom and she loved it. When I saw the clarity, capabilities to record, capture and communicate I was convinced I absolutely had to have 1 of these for my front door. Hers is wired and mine is wireless due to accessibility reasons. Bought a cam holder/anti-theft protector and mounted on my security door using zip ties. This has been 1 of the best safety and security investments thus far. I bought a second one for my back door to have additional eyes on my property and again it doesn’t disappoint. I love not having to get up to go to the door to see who it is because I can do it right from my phone and even talk to visitors loud and clear. Did I mention I’m buying another?! 🤣

    Refurbished but under someone else’s name
    May 2024 – ADDITIONAL MESSAGE. It got worse. I had it set to only record from 7 am to 9 pm, to save battery life. I tried setting it on every display. As time has gone on, it just stopped sending me any timely notifications. Groceries were delivered and it was over 5 min after delivery before I received notification. My ice cream was melted. It usually missed people who stop outside my door. I don’t know why I can see my neighbor’s food and alerts but don’r get them for MINE.Add in how ridiculously annoying it is to charge and the fact that I lost the proprietary tool and can’t actually take it apart so I can get the battery. Seriously, it takes waaaaay to long to charge. Not that I can charge it anymore bc I cant get into it. Ehich frankly, it was working less and less. No wonder it was refurbished. It is useless. Even the doorbell when rung takes a couple minutes before I ger the notification that someone is at my door.It is kind of scary knowing yhat people can come to my door and pick the lock and come inside. This was supposed yo help with that baseless fear, but since it misses most folks who come to my dooe, it doesn’t help, let alone do what it is supposed to.Feb 1, 2024 reviewThis is useless. At all. It’s rather shifty to let others have access to someone’s old account.

    Apt door and fixed income.
    I love it and kind of kick myself for not getting sooner especially when I find out my neighbor was drug dealer in a dispute. The only concern I had was the price. A really decent doorbell camera that can also watch packages that have been left at the door costs three times this one. So I mounted it sideways. Works well and the police have asked several times for copies of different incidents..

    Very solid camera doorbell so far and excellent support from amazon.
    I had an issue with the first unit I ordered where the video feed was tinted really purple for some reason. Amazon replaced it for me and the new unit works excellently! Motion is detected perfectly, the video is clean, and night vision works as it should. Definitely a good buy, and I’m confidant that any porch pirates will be caught in fhd!
