    Probably the best non-addressable LED strip for color quality and brightness (heat can be a problem)
    pros:- bright- really good color accuracy- really dense led placement so they’re really easy to diffuse- separate led for warm white and for cool white, and those can be controlled individually- with RGB set to white, and both white LED’s cranked to max, it is very very bright (but gets VERY hot)- considering what you get, the price isn’t badcons:- a little expensive- it’s REALLY dense, so this strip gets really hot, especially with all led’s on full brightness. they easily exceeded the 50C manufacturer maximum when I put it inside a diffuser strip. (read below for details)- they’re really wide, so many aluminum channel diffusers won’t fit these- due to heat, the small diffuser channels will overheat the stripsThese are the brightest LED strips I’ve been able to find. They are NOT addressable, so don’t get these if you want the lights to do fancy things like light up in sequence and do animations and such. These are all static, so they’re all on or off. The RGB, warm white, and cool white are all separate LED’s, and can be controlled individually. If you just run RGB, or just the warm white, the temperatures aren’t to bad. If you run RGB and both whites, the heat can become a problem. Most LED strips don’t have an issue with heat, but these absolutely will considering how dense they are. (3 bright led’s every inch, roughly). I bought really big aluminum channels meant to be used as a hanging light fixture that uses an LED strip (the channel is 50mm x 50mm extruded aluminum), and these still weren’t table to keep the temperature of the strip below 50C when measured on my k-type thermocouple. this shows that no matter what channel you use, convection cooling probably won’t be enough. if you only use the RGB, or only the white, but never all at the same time, the heat shouldn’t be a problem. but if you’re installing this for a customer, I think you should assume the customer can do anything (like avoid advice and turn all led’s on max brightness), and it becomes a fire hazard and will hurt LED longevity too. so for professional installations, I’d say you should add active cooling. I 3d printed endcaps for the channels to force air through the channel for cooling, and now with all LED’s at max brightness I can keep the hottest part of the strip to a max of about 39C. length of the channel matters though, I was using 1M channels and the fresh air got pretty hot by the end, so one end wasn’t being cooled as well and that side got close to 50C due to the temperature gradient. for this reason, I blew fresh air in from both sides (the channel is split in half, top and bottom sections), and this helped even it out. the middle was a little hotter than the ends after this fix, but well under 50C.figured I’d mention this as nobody, even on YouTube, ever talks about heat with led strips and how to deal with it

    Very bright usable light source
    I put a single 14 foot strip down the center of a gazebo. These LEDs are very bright. One strip was more than enough. Color output is also great. If you don’t need addressable leds and want a primary light source these LEDs are great.

    Excellent quality for a very professional installation
    I am a custom installer so I needed these to be of a very high quality while at the same time providing excellent versatility. These deliver on a wide area of positives. These have to separate white diodes as well as RGB diode which allows the strip to not only produce every single color but also every different temperature of white. I also noticed that it allows you to control the saturation of each color by mixing the white diode to the RGB diode you are able to create a less saturated and brighter color. This is just too cool, and it works great when it’s inside the correct diffuser.I chose these strips because they were also being used as a light source as well as ambiance and they absolutely do deliver. The addition of the correct 24V power supply and controllers was a major plus.     Not recommended
    I Used it to power a LED strip, which requires 24V and maximal 6.8A.Power supply was rated for almost double, 12⁹.5A.First thing to ‘notice’ when dimming the lights, the power supply starts an ear hurting high pitch wine.The heat generation is also exorbitant, after several hours drawing 6.8A the power supply was too warm to comfortably hold in your hand. And now, the second day of usage, the supply died, it now only has a voltage around the 4V.So all in all, i wouldn’t recommend this unit.*updateAlso the Tuya LED controler, is not recommended! The accompanying App is intrusive to say the least and is not working half of the time.
