Perfect for Ring doorbell pro without existing doorbell
I moved to a new apartment and my Ring Doorbell Pro came with me. The problem is my new apartment does not have a doorbell and I needed the doorbell transformer for it to work. After researching how to install the ring camera without existing wiring, I came across this item. All I needed to do is punch a small hole through the exterior wall, use a wire hanger with the wire taped to the end, connect the screws to the leads on this item and it worked perfectly. I wish that the cable was about 2 feet longer so I have more slack to hide the wire behind a racetrack a little better, but I am happy this worked perfectly for my ring.

The output voltage is 22.25 V
The transformer depicted in the photo above generates a voltage of over 22.25 VAC, which exceeds the labeled 18 VAC by 23.6%. I had assumed that the acceptable range would be within a +/- 10% margin, which would be 16.2 to 19.8 VAC. I sincerely hope that this voltage difference will not harm my Ring doorbell after installation.
