Everything you need in one complete system
I’ve been researching camera systems for a while now. Some have great cameras but you need to buy the other parts separately. Some control systems are nice that I found but you have to buy the cameras separately. With this system everything you need is in the box. The base unit has the software, hard drive, and PoE switch. The cameras work very well, day or night. Setup was a breeze (well for me, someone else had to crawl around in the attic to run the ethernet cables – which are included).The USB ports allow you to attach a keyboard and mouse (mouse included, you don’t really need the keyboard but it’s easier for me). There is an HDMI port – cable included!I like that the software allows you to zoom the cameras. You can also do an ‘instant’ replay, or you can rewind a camera back to a date/time. There is a remote control app for your smartphone so you can view when away from home.Is this a ‘perfect’ system? Well for me it is. Others may have different needs, but I am extremely satisfied with this system.

Quality security camera and good support so far. hugo was very helpful
Having difficulty getting all my cameras to work properly, I contacted the ANNKE technical support. The support was requested through email. I was contacted within 4hrs by technical support with a case number. I contacted them the next day via the chat feature on their site and was promptly greeted by a support technician(Tim). Within 30 minutes he had assessed the issues with my system and had my cameras online. He also determined that 2 of my cameras were defective and promptly ordered replacements.While I am still awaiting the replacement cameras and am having some challenges fine tuning the sensitivity of the two cameras I do have installed (too many false alarms) I remain satisfied with the ANNKE system. My experience with their technical support has been positive to date.after sales help from Hugo was excellent

Good product…not so good support.
The product itself is great. I like the 4K adjustable bitrate video recording with audio on all cameras. You can tailor your motion settings and image settings to how you want them. The 2TB drive is more than enough for about 60 days of recording. I would recommend a SSD if you buy the unit without the drive. It will record over old footage if you tell it to. The night vision works well. Shadows can set off motion detection, for example, a moving shadow of a tree on the ground. However you can adjust the sensitivity. Big selling point for me is the App you can download for IPhone and Android. This allows you to live view your cameras, playback and get notifications for motion events anywhere, provided your NVR is connected to the internet.My 2 big issues with this system is with the Annke App. I can not playback any footage recorded in 4K on my mobile device. I can get a snap shot of what is taking place, but when I hit playback the video fails or it has a large green block artifact. My other issue is when I emailed support to sort this issue. They wanted my username and password for my account, I of course said absolutely not.#update 9/27/2021Recently resolved issue with 4K playback through the app. Always format the hard drive when you purchase a new unit. That was the reason for my failed playback and green artifact on screen. This solved my issue with the app video playback.

Great security system for the price.
Easy to install and figure out how to operate for basic operation. I love these cameras. I have rental property that they have helped me keep track of. I was able to get an eviction based on my recordings of activity seen on camera outside the house. I have 3 sets of these on various properties and have helped a friend set a set up at her home too. Hers paid off big time. Got her out of an abusive relationship! I highly recommend these if for no reason other than entertainment. I caught some kids ditching a stolen bicycle across the street on the one for my driveway. I love these things.

Easy set up
After reading reviews and racking my brain for which system to buy I picked this one with a USA phone # for tech support if needed. Running cables is always a hassle. Pick an interior wall for cables to run down to dvr if you can. Drill a 1-1/2 hole if you can in the top plate and fish wires with a fish tape. I could not as my tv and system is on exterior wall. I used 1â conduit through my soffit and exterior of my house and through the wall behind my entertainment center.1st day up and running and all is good. Set up on iPhone with no problem with app.Only thing I donât like is it seems the camera view could be a little wider, not sure what degree they r but Iâm still satisfied with the system.Locate near your WiFi so you can hook into your network. Appears to me you can hook up to 8 cameras to the system. I havenât tried playback or searched for specific time but seems like it will be easy. Scrolling around with the mouse is just like using your computer. Software is user friendly.Check YouTube for video setup although I didnât need to because pretty straight forward for diy and this is my second system install.I give a five star for price and overall functionality and ease of use. Looks great on my 70 inch tv.

Runs very hot. Worried the NVR will overheat and catch fire
The cameras give great 4K daytime images. Setup is kind of klunky, maybe that’s par for the course.The problem is that the NVR gets really hot. It seems that they didn’t engineer it thermally. There is a burned smell coming from inside the box, and the base gets to ~125 degrees. I am worried that it could start a fire. I bought this system to protect my home, but now I am worried that it will destroy my home!Update. Finally needed to export a video clip and no normal video player can play it! Playback only shows the first frame as a still. Aarghhhh!!! This thing was a waste of money….
