Great Pair of Peepers
I’ve used these cameras for close to a year or a year and a few days. These have worked well with my Frigate setup. Zero issues on video feeds. The image is nice and crisp in the day time and the night-vision on the camera is quiet good too. I have no complaints on the image quality what so ever.I’ve not used Amcrest Cloud, the SD Card, object detection any of these style features built into the camera. Because I use Frigate for those things. However, the initial setup I did have to use the internal software to configure the camera. It has a nice layout and fairly good options of setting it up. The main features I have used are the nightvision, light, and labels. As explained above at night the cameras images are pretty good so no complaints. The light on the camera is quiet bright and can light up my medium-small stairway to my door no problem. Then the labels have fairly good options on placement, ordering, timestamps, naming, et cetera. My only complaint is Amcrest cameras seem to be all over the place with the default local IP addresses. I’ve used these and other Amcrest cameras and they all over the place. Sometimes they are not within my subnet, sometimes they pick at random, or sometimes they default to the last available one. Which is why it’s great Amcrest has a piece of software that can find the cameras. Otherwise it would be a mess to setup some of these cameras. If you need the PC software, and don’t have Windows. it can run on a PC running Linux through Wine with no issues. Which makes these cameras even more friendly to setup even without Windows.Overall I have been happy with these cameras and have had no major issues with them. I would recommend these for any Frigate users. I’ve not used these on Blue Iris, but I would imagine the setup would be no issue.

Great Cameras!!!
I have used Amcrest products for a LONG time. This is a 4Mpx AI camera that has all the features one would want. It also has a superb image as you can see. I totally recommend their products and this one especially. When paired with one of their NVRs you can make a great surveillance system for your home of office with remote access for your mobile devices or desktop computers.Their support is manned by English speaking individuals and is very helpful should you need support. These cameras are easy to install but lots of folks get hung up because it does involve networking and the average person does not understand that…. BUT just call their tech.

Nice 4K camera with a wide viewing angle!
I have been using Amcrest for a few years. I purchased this 2-pack to replace a camera hooked up to an Amcrest NVR.I really liked the wide 129 degree viewing angle, compared to my old one which only had a 108 degree FOV.Installaton was super easy sicne it’s POE, I just unplugged the old camera and plugged in the new one, then at the NVR GUI main menu, went into camer settings and did an device serach and it found the new camera! Good picture quality in day and night mode. The only issue I have is the phone app Amcrest View Pro, the live view on this 4K camera is showing a black screen. When I did a full screen mode on the monitor, the camera also showed a black screen. Not sure if I have to adjust some camera settings…..

Great Wide-Angle Camera
Installed as part of my home surveillance system, I put one each of these cameras on the front and rear of my house. I can see from neighbor to neighbor. The 8 megapixel resolution allows zooming in and retaining detail. The front camera is sensitive enough it always stays in Daylight mode at night. Between the nearby streetlight and the two lanterns next to the garage door, I get a fine color image. The rear camera faces gardens and woods that are not lighted. The IR illuminator provides really usable, black-and-white images at least 30 feet from the rear of the house. These have been installed less than a month. I will report later on longevity. So far, a friend that has installed some Amcrest cameras has not mentioned any reliability issues. So far, a good value. Recommended.

Lot Of Configuration Needed
They do look great. Lot of configuration and dial in to get it all right, especially sensitivities. Facedetection is very hit or miss, but picks up vehicles well. It also seems to randomly ignore detection zone unless there is an audio alert as well. Unless it is interior, I found to just disable the mic since wind and rain is enough to keep it in recording mode non-stop. I also recommend to start small with alerts and work up since it will fill up your inbox with emails in a very short span.

Sharp color image during daytime
Expected a better image during dark time outside. Inside a building during total darkness the image is crispand sharp.

Great quality camera. Well made
These are actually made from that odd substance called metal. I’ve purchased several over the years and they hold up well to the elements, have great video quality and the provided phone and PC software more than does the job

How’s that for New out the box
Never had a issue with Amcrest in the past but seems like there on some shady business going on now, these are most likely quailty rejected cameras or returns, the plastic on the cameras were placed on, had bubbles on the lense, one camera lense was wiggling in place. It’s very obvious while explaining what’s wrong with these cameras that they are most definitely returns bundled up as a deal to get removed off of Amcrest shelf returns…shame on you guys 1st and foremost, im not confident in placing a second order.Maybe if we buy the single cameras they are actually new, or maybe everything on Amazon from Amcrest is a recycling bin, not sure. Don’t be fooled by shrink wrap and new box.
