Easy installation and setup.
These cameras are easy to install and align. We have setup these cameras 3 different times with QNAP QVR Pro. These are very simple to setup with the QNAP NVR.

Works fine
Technical specifications on the Amcrest website says this model supports 90 /270 rotation. It does not. Can only be mounted vertically if you want a horizontal image.

This review is for the Amcrest support
The camera kept staying offline, no matter what I did. I called support and talked with Ms Selena George. She remotely connected to my PC and solved my problem in 5 minutes. Now I can start using the camera. I will write a full review after I use it for a few weeks

Very solid build quality. Have not used it enough to know stability.I wish that the piglets for the female end of the ethernet from the camera were a little longer so that you could feed it theos s sophit snd grab it at the top.

Junk!
AmcrestOn December 9, 2022 I purchased 11 POE, cameras, 4-Wi-Fi cameras, a NVR and a six port switch. I spent over $2000 on this purchase. From the day I installed it it has not worked correctly right now only 6 of 11 POE Cameras work and none of the Wi-Fi cameras so in total only six of 15 cameras work. I have spent at least 10 phone calls and 20 hours of my time on the phone with Amcrest technical assistance, this matter is still not resolved. I have requested a full refund multiple times and they just keep kicking the can down the road trying to fix the system. I am 59 years old and in been in the custom home building business for years, this is the absolute worst business experience of my entire life. This is the absolute worst system I have ever dealt with, so thankful I have not installed this in my customers homes and have used local private security companies instead!

Great image quality but keeps losing connection
I purchased two of these 4K cameras along with another bullet camera from Amcrest, all of them PoE and connected to a Synology NAS using Surveillance Station. I also recommend getting the Amcrest AMCPFB203W Wall Mount Bracket for Dome Cameras, as the long pig tail can be hidden in the bracket and installation is very neat, specially when mounting on a wall (Note that I have included photos for the camera and the bracket, but the bracket has to be purchased separately). If you do not use the bracket, the hole in the wall needs to be one inch wide. Waterproof protection is very good, so cameras are ideal for exterior installation. They include an adaptor to protect the RJ45 connector from moisture. I did not use the cables included for alarm connection and sound, so I taped them and put them inside the wall mount bracket. To be extra sure that everything was waterproof, I just added a thin silicone sealing between the bracket and the wall.If you understand the basics of networking (IP addresses, DHCP, port forwarding, DDNS, etc), cameras are easy to configure. I would stay away if you do not understand these concepts. Adjusting the angle of the lense is also very simple and there is a lot of flexibility in terms of angle, so the camera is good for installation on a wall or a ceiling. However, lense orientation can only be changed manually, not remotely.Image quality is great, but if you are using 4K resolution you cannot go above 10 fps or image will stutter continuosly. Form my point of view, that’s just acceptable for a security camera (I am not trying to film “Out of Africa” here…). Alternatively, you can drop resolution to get 30fps. Handling all the cameras with Surveillance Station is great (Synology). I am handling motion detection with the Synology software as well, as the camera software had a small area that was continuosly giving false alarms, but not a big deal. Night vision works really well, although I do not need to reach a long distance, just my back garden. The main issue is that these cameras will lose connection once or twice a day. One of them reconnects immediately (less than 1 min). However, the other one does not reconnect until the camera is rebooted. After that, it usually works for a few hours until connection drops again. I have them configure to reboot daily, but this situation is not acceptable (both of them have the same configuration, same firmware version, just different IPs and ports). The third AMCREST camera (a different model) is also fine. It loses connection once a day but recovers it immediately.I have had these cameras for a year to monitor a remote location. It would have been 5 stars if connection would not drop so often. A common problem reported in forums.Update: Following feedback from AMCREST support I changed the PoE switch for a new one from a different brand, but the problem remains. One out of the two cameras is faulty and needs to be replaced (unfortunately warranty is over).
