SO far one of the best! I’m a fan of Amcrest!
So let me start that I’ve had other video doorbells and installed for other friends and family and here is one feature I will tell you if you are looking for a doorbell. I do security installs and have put 3 of these Amcrest models and they last a long time. If you love the “wring door” cool but I don’t like paying subscriptions. I had 3 wingdoorbells and cost subscription was just costing me on all 3 AND I HATED that when people walked or motion activated, it missed what actually needed to be recorded. I missed faces or walking off or that person litering on my yard. Wingdoor never recorded the real action. SOOOO researching Amcrest I installed my own DVR NON-Subscription wifi controlled and local remote recording system with a 6TB. Not going to get to in depth BUT THIS was the ONLY DOORBELL that did not require subscription and worked locally to your network and the DVR system records all footage to the DVR system. So I have 7 cameras and the doorbell also cost me nothing to record footage and it’s all live action with no miss haps. With a separate app too with Amcrest it works great on alerts when someone comes to or leaves from the door. Takes a snip video of the action and I can see who is coming and going from home or from my work. Has a great wide angle and gets all the areas. My biggest sell on this is that it works with DVR systems and works with the network not costing me a thing extra on monthly costs and clear 24 hour recording playback!

Wanted to love it, but not quite as good as I expected
Seemed very high quality at first glance, and includes everything needed to install, including even a screwdriver and drill bit. The camera seems very well built, and I love the fully local RSTP streaming (including sub-streams!) but was honestly kind of appalled at the camera quality. It’s 1080p, but even after downloading the IP Config utility and trying a few different settings, the bitrate is just so low that it looks more like 480p. It has perfect link speed and signal quality to the router, so it’s not anything Wi-Fi related. The mount also seems nice, but even when secured properly it seems to have a lot of side to side play when pushed on, and I do kind of wish the doorbell button was a hard plastic rather than a rubber that I could see wearing through over time from fingernail presses. That said, there’s hardly any other options for this kind of value, so I’d definitely get another if I needed it.

Only work the first time.
Bought this one to replace my current exact same doorbell camera. It is dead on arrival. It would not even allow me to do a factory reset or you call reset. I Had this camera before and I used it for three years over and overall is a good product but none of my Amcrest cameras able to connect to the Amcrest app. I reset my router itâs not my router issue all my other devices able to connect via mt wifirouter. I donât have any problem buying refurbish or new item because they gave on 90 days warranty. However, this one has questionable quality. Iâm gonna switch another brand, much cheaper and easy to control from the app. I am security consultants and install this type of device almost daily. I think the problem with this device is the issue with the app or the database. Once you initially install a device and add it onto the app, you cannot rejoin it even though youâre removed it. I had tried to uninstall the camera and then the app and reinstall the app again I still cannot have the camera. Thereâs a fundamental problem with their app when I allow you to install youâre gonna new camera. There Level one customer service is good good, even with heavy accent, they help me explain to me and they try. Even though they couldnât resolve my issue, they escalated to their level two technician. However the level two technician takes two days to answer one email so in a week he answers my email twice. I will never suggest my clients to get this brand ever.

No what I expected
So I have now tried TWO of these AD-110 cameras. Now to be fair to the manufacturer both cameras I bought were Amazon Refurbished units, so it is entirely possible these things were defective and were just put back into inventory.Documentation was weak – there is a step that tells you to reset the camera in order to get it into pairing mode to connect to the Wi-Fi. NO WHERE in the documentation does it clearly state WHERE to find that reset switch. I had to go search for videos on the internet (which I found) that explained where and how to use the reset button. Once I reset it and paired it up, I got it to work, and with some further online research I WAS able to make it stream to my NVR (BlueIris). However, the picture quality, to use a technical term, SUCKED! Everything was PINK! It would not display accurate colors no matter what setting I used via the Amcrest IP Config tool. So, clearly this CCD sensor had an issue. So I returned this and got ANOTHER refurbished by Amazon AD110. I connected that one and it immediately started ringing my doorbell nonstop. I measured the resistance across the terminals on the new camera and it was less than 1 ohm, so there was something electrically wrong with that unit.Decided to try calling support, which appears to be in India. Sat on hold for 15 mins, then a lady came on eventually offering “did you do a hard reset?” except that took over a minute to understand because the line to India or her mic was faulty because I was only hearing every 3rd word she said.In short, not at all impressed with the product or the support available. Sending both units back and will seek out another brand.

Has great movement detection features.
Works well was a bit of trouble getting I to work with a actual doorbell at first. But so far they are worth the effort.
