    I own the original Amazon Smart Plugs and they have been amazing. Found these Amazon Basic ones for less than half the cost, I had to try them. They work just the same! Great value!

    After purchasing an Echo Dot, Amazon posted a deal on the Amazon smart plug ($24.99) for a $1.99. I purchased it as I recognized the price was very good. I decided I wanted another smart plug but unwilling to wait for a bargain, although I see it is on sale for $12.99. I purchased a two pack of the Amazon basics smart plug for $15.99. The basics smart plug is specific to Alexa only and the smart plug can be used with other platforms. The setup for both plugs was extremely easy. (They synced up in less than two minutes). If you have Alexa devices, the basics plug works the same as the higher dollar plug. I am now waiting for Prime Days to see if the basics plug drops in price.

    I wish I’ve bought these sooner. I have the other amazon smart plugs and this one integrated seamlessly with my setup. As I have a dual band mesh extender just so I can have 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi products. I will definitely buy more as I am slowly making my home more smart, lol.

    Plug and play with Alexa as advertised
    We’ve had lots of trouble with smart plugs in the past – they seem to fail often, they are often difficult to pair with our limited but Alexa-centric home automation environment, so we decided to order these when our last batch refused to connect. They are a bit clunky in size/form factor but two of the will still fit into a standard two-socket wall outlet, and they paired with ASLexa immediately with no fuss.Can’t ask for more.

    Easy to install, and working perfectly.
    I just received these 2 plugs yesterday, and hooked one up to a lamp in the living room. It was very easy to install using the Alexa app, and works like a charm. I also think this is a good value to get 2 for $10.99.If I notice any short-comings during use, I will update this review, but for now I highly recommend this item.

    Don’t buy this brand! Refuses to take VALID WIFI PASSWORD!
    Really wanted these to work, seemed to be going fine until it refused to connect with my valid and actually working WIFI Password. Kept saying “Invalid Password” and would not connect to network. This may be because I have a special character “!” in my password and it may be rejecting the password for some idiotic reason!Password does work on my phone and thermostat, and other smart plugs not from Amazon.Updated to latest Alexa APP before starting install.Instructions say to click on “MORE” in latest Alexa APP. BUT NO “MORE” is found anywhere in app! 800 Number in APP for support is DISCONNECTED! Need magnifying glass to read instructions!
