    Download the App and SYNC SETTINGS
    INITIALLY:No matter what I did, I could not get this light set to work. All the individual light bars work, because I tested each one separately. All of the connections are seemingly good because I would test the voltage output at each point as I connected them, but as you can see in the photo the signal was just not coming through. I checked the voltage on the signal and it started at 1V while the power lines are 12V and the signal voltage would continue to drop as you got further from the source (as expected) but still near 1V, yet the lights would not work. I checked the connections and double checked them. Sometimes the other bars would light up but you just touch them and they would stop. Furthermore, I tried manually expanding the pins to make better contact in the connections but that didn’t help. I disassembled these multiple times without any success. I tried other configurations and at most I could only get two lengths of light bars to light up.How I got it to work…If you receive the NEW version of the remote control, there might be a syncing issue and it can’t seem to be solved with the remote. Download the APP by scanning the QR code on the power receiver. Once you do that and connect it to the lights – go to settings and hit SYNC SETTINGS and maybe change from BGR ro BRG, etc on the color settings and once you do it should fix itself and then the remote will work again too.It’s great once it works.Btw, if you need help, send message to the seller they are awesome.edit: after a few weeks im back to only have 2 bars light up….there is nothing wrong with the other bars, the connections didnt change but the lighta just dont work. dang. and syncing in the app does not help – i tried all combinations. it is so frustrating because these look so good when they work.

    BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY
    DO NOT BUY. I 1st purchased 2 for a project. All was well. Then the power supply on one stop working. I performed a troubleshoot to confirm power supply so I contacted the company and they don’t sell that part. So I had no choice to buy another one. The new one came with a different power supply. So I tried that one it didn’t work. I thought maybe this one was just a defect. So I purchased another one that didn’t work. These things just don’t work anymore with a new power supply and they will not sell you an old power supply on its own and the new ones come with a different power supply that’s does not work. Amazon customer service was no help. I spent over $1000 now I have to go a different direction.

    Fantastic RGB color and animation. Mood over sheer illumination, as expected.
    I love these. I have these as a third light in the garage for mood only. They’re not really meant for pure illumination, but they’re amazing for mood. The colored lights look great when animated, almost like your own neon signage. I have a little workspace in my garage with a bar table and stools, and this is the mood light for that area (the workspace has its own light). I also have the regular super bright and non-dimmable hex lights for the main part of the garage.The best thing is that you can control this light with your phone. The downside is that the instructions are quite bad, and there’s no way to know which ‘code’ to put into the phone app because it’s not listed on the box or anywhere. It’s trial and error selecting between the models and such, but I found the setting and it didn’t seem to harm the light with the ‘wrong choices’. Then it’s a matter of choosing RGB, BGR, BRG, etc. and a long list of combinations. One of them works as expected, and with the others you might select green but get pink, or something like that.Aside from the lack of help with the app install, it’s a great light. Awesome for parties or to set a mood for your space.

    Great price and cool design. The qr code for the app that comes with the instructions doesn’t work on my phone. Is there another way I can download the app to use these lights. If I loose the remote I will have a big problem

    Perfect for any Gamer!
    LOVE this product! We bought these as an addition to my son’s “gamer room” & he says these lights bring it all together & “make the room”. Was not expecting it to be as big as it was (did not look at measurements when purchasing) but it’s even better than I expected. Assembly was simple enough with the instructions, you just have to make sure you pay attention to the direction of the arrows on instructions or else all of the lights will not light up; this happened to us at first but we were able to quickly correct the issue. It is lightweight so hanging the lights was easy as well. Screwed right into the drywall with no anchors needed. There are so many different light settings that my son decided he’s going to have a different color theme in his room everyday. So fun & cool.

    Decent Budget RGB
    Pros: Lights are adequate for the price point. Look pretty good and random modes are cool.Cons: Install- T connectors are more difficult to connect, but elbows were easy, plastic cover over lights is flimsy so you have to be delicate, not as bright as any of the photos, so no real need to ever dim, remote not as good as other brands. Other allow easier customization and app control. But the biggest CON is the Instructions or lack there of. Obviously there is a language barrier/translation issue, but the photos are super small, they should just say A’s keep the current flowing and B’s terminate flow. If you are using the 5 hexagon design, the instructions are unclear and need to be re-written. There is one section where 2 – B’s connect at a T to an A. The instructions show to use the “custom” T which terminates the current on one side. This is typically for a B. But you have 2 B’s and 1 A. B’s terminate themselves so this gets confusing. A simple call out explaining the issue would resolve 10 mins of questioning everything I know about electrical engineering until I said “let’s plug it in and go for it”. Luckily it worked so all is good. Would recommend for a budget RGB Hex light
