So far the best way to automate hard wired lighting
I have been setting up my home automation system at home to control lights, appliances and water leak protection through my WINK hub. These wall switches have worked very reliably for the control of my home hard wired lighting. The only disadvantage is it is an expensive way to turn a light on and off. But the only alternative is to use smart wall plugs which might be slightly more economical but then to control your light manually requires using the app or pressing a button on the plug. I have 6 wall dimmers and 4 remotes and their hookup only requires 2 wires and the link to my WINK hub has been flawless so far. Canât say the same for my iHome plugs that I use to control my other lighting. I am resetting them on a regular basis.

I love the fact that you can add remotes anywhere without additional wiring.
This is my go to switch for any location that I want a smart switch with the option to add remotes

Suspect this was one bad apple
I have many of these switches, all working fine. This latest one worked for one week. Load was three 40w bulbs.

the good news is they work well
I just keep buying more of these, the good news is they work well, the bad news there is a delay in response, and to have it set up for 3 way, you need to install PICO remotes.

When I first installed it I was thrilled. Then …
When I first installed it I was thrilled. Then I discovered that it negatively impacted a circuit next to it, causing those lights to close when the LED lights controlled by the PD-6WCL were turned on. Furthermore, the LED lights never closed off 100% but had an extremely low lit flashing that was bothersome to people sleeping in the room when it was pitch black. This is called “Ghosting” and can be rectified with the purchase of a capacitor or something to get rid of this little left-over charge when the lights are off, or to insert an incandescent bulb in the mix of LEDs. Too many technical issues for me. I uninstalled it and went back to my manual dimmer.

If you want the best look no further
I have the whole house wired as Lutron with switches dimmers and the hub. Everything is customizeable, has perfect signal, looks and feels great. Very expensive but worth it.
