Sengled is my first choice in ‘smart’ lighting
I stumbled upon this brand shortly after dishing out a ton of money on the Phillips system and still kick myself for all the money I spent there. I have never had an issue with these at all and was super excited to find them with this type base. Installed and working in less than 2 minutes and has worked consistently since then.

Keeps loosing connections
After resetting and reconnect 10x we said screw it! We had around 15-23 bulbs connected! (I say this number because we’ve even tried reducing bulbs) one story 3b/2b home. Our internet connection is stable with high speed over 900mbps and only less then 1000 square feet with extended Xfi-Pod for router connection. Alexa thinks she smart but she really is stupid, I tell her this too! Connection only lasted 3 months when I first got them, then had to reset and seem like it became an underpaid job to reconnect them every other week, then down to weekly. (Kitchen isn’t responding!) We tried update, we even renames Alexa I’m each room since we own 4 total. Just stick to old fashion way and flip the switch or limit to having only 4-6 connected (seems to not lose connection then)

Good light
Only issue I have is when I turn on my light switch these bulbs have a strange habit where they will torn on being warm white and after about 2 minutes they will pulse 1 time then switch to a more bright white. It happens every single time I turn on the light. I have also places there same bulbs but from a batch purchased 6+ months earlier is the same exact light fixtures in different rooms of my house and do not experience the same issue. It could be this batch with the firmware it has or something else going on but thatâs my only issue with them.

Clunky Setup, Look Elsewhere
This review is intended to warn folks with Eero mesh networks and so-called modern phones which don’t let you select which frequency band, 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, you can use. During setup the bulbs can find the proper wireless network just fine, but if your phone won’t selectively stay on 2.4Ghz for the duration of the setup then it doesn’t work seamlessly. In the end, this is too much hassle when other competing products avoid this issue just fine. If you have a phone for setup where you can control the frequency range then you should be fine.

Loses connection. Not a WiFi issue
Worked great for 2 weeks then one bulb lost connection followed by the other. I have a powerful WiFi system and router is no more than 15 feet away. Followed reset procedures and contacted help desk. They did reply the next day that they had resolved an issue on their end and I was able to reconnect the lights.

Inferior product
I purchased this two set of candelabra bulbs in April of 2022 to fit into some sconces in my living room. In less than 8 months, the bulbs stopped responding regularly. Currently neither one maintains correct color. Each begins to flash if they’ve been left on for even an hour. I have several standard size Sengled bulbs. I have generally been satisfied with those. But the small form factor simply is not ready for primetime.
