Works well.
I use this with a pre-existing switch (which is wired in the way that makes replacement with a smart switch very difficult) and it seems fine.It connects easily to my wifi network, and didn’t stumble at all over the fact that I have the same SSID on 2.4 and 5GHz.I’m not doing a ton with it: I wanted to automate a difficult lighting circuit, and it has automated that — including using the pre-existing light switch, and without any network connectivity necessary.But it can do a ton of things. It is readily apparent that Shelly devices can form their own Wifi network, talking amongst themselves, and never have any reason to talk to the outside world (or an “assistant” or anything else) while still automating a home.But it also does integrate well with Home Assistant; no trouble there at all. It just slid right into place.I kind of wish there were some internal jumpers or something to help out. I had to add several wires to a junction box in order to make this work, and (in my case) a box extension is required to make it all fit.While it’s nice that it has dry relay contacts, I think that two of the wires I added could be eliminated if things were routed differently internal to the Shelly device.

Used this with spdt relay to remote control my Westinghouse generator and works great and is easily managed in Shelly app or home assistant

Works with remote garage door control
I got this to control my old Wayne Dalton quantum 3414 garage door remotely. I have cameras outside my home that I can access remotely. I discovered one day while at work that I left the garage door open… I had to drive 30 minutes back home to shut it. I didn’t want to ever have to do that again so I started looking for options. I used a 12v dc power source to power it. What I like most is that it can be accessed via a web browser or phone app. I use the pc/web access option. I’m new to these types of units so The pc web access was a little tricky setting up for me but I got it, and it’s amazing, It works! There are many different ways these units can be setup and utilized. The only issue that I may be having is this. It may be interfering with the wireless signal from my remote garage door opener I keep in my car. I used to be able to open the door from about 50 yards away. Now, I have to be at least 20 to 30 feet away before the door will open with the remote. There are other variable that my be interfering with it but I haven’t fully tested it yet. it’s just an observation as of now. I’ll try shutting it down completely and see if that makes a difference. I definitely recommend getting something like this just for it’s abilities alone.

Solved my gate closing problem for way cheaper than the OEM
Added this to a power gate at my property. The gate manufacturer makes something similar but it was $150 and required the gate to be hardwired instead of solar. This worked great and draws so little power my solar charger and batteries works fine. I can now close and open my gate from anywhere. Will definitely be purchasing more for other areas

Also habe ich mir ein Shelly 1 Gen.3 zum ausprobieren bestellt und wollte damit den Torantrieb „Smart“ machen.Kurz eingelesen und mich mit dem Anschluss beschäftigt, angeschlossen und einen befreundeten Fachmann rüberschauen lassen und was soll ich sagen: einfach genial und genial einfach! Sowohl die Installation, als auch die Einstellung in der App, einfach easy!Eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!Es werden noch einige dieser kleinen Helfer folgen!👍🏻

Das Produkt wurde einen Tag früher als angkündigt geliefert. Kompakte, auf das Notwendige reduzierte Verpackung, finde ich auch erwähnenswert und gut. Der Shelly ist aktuell.Allerdings finde ich den Lieferservice von Amazon mittlerweile als bedenklich. Ich hatte schon wirklich alles dabei. Von auf dem Hoftor einfach abgelegten Paketen bis zu den beliebten “Postwurfsendungen”, bei denen das Paket mittels Wurf über das Hoftor zugestellt wird. Diesmal wurde die Lieferung in den Briefkasten malträtiert, sodass die Verpackung aufriss und sich das Produkt und die Verpackung getrennt im Briekasten befanden. Das hatte ich bisher noch nicht und stellt eine neue Qualität der Zustellung dar.

Weder native noch über homebridge. Nichts geht.Um sicher zu gehen ob ich nichts falsch gemacht habe, habe ich den Vorgänger getestet. Dieser lässt sich über die homebridge problemlos verbinden.Ich beobachte die Updates.Wenn’s irgendwann klappt, kaufe ich weitere.
