    I’m impressed!
    This is my first Govee product. These are awesome. Matter made adding into my Google Home effortless. Physical install, replacing existing outdoor sconces was quick and easy.These things are super bright! I went out after dark to see how they looked and I was shocked. I ended up turned them down to 60%. Setup a dusk to dawn automation, and that’s working flawlessly.The colors are bright and vivid.They replaced some dusk to dawn non smart fixtures that never worked well. We’ll see over time. So far these are possibly the best smart products I’ve purchased. My other smart items are mostly bulbs, plugs, motion sensors, switches and various hubs from Phillips, GE, Hubitat, Google, TP-Link.I’m not sure if this is Matter over thread or wifi, but response time is pretty quick.

    Lights are awesome with their base functions
    This is my initial entry into the Govee Home Lighting ecosystem. Build quality is top notch for these lights. Install was simple and straightforward even for electrical boxes that are over 20 years old. Fit and level was very easily achieved. Connections were pretty standard as well, which all of these are a plus when trying to install on an older home.Software and adding the devices were simple as expected with the mature app and support this system already has. The base functions of the lights are strong. The white light option gets brighter as the light gets warmer definitely providing a safe viewing area for our security cams. The single zone colors are great.Where I’m not impressed with the lights are the “lamp” color selection part of the app. The colors tend to wash out and are not truly the base colors you select. When the blue and orange are applied to the lights as lamp zones the colors nothing like the base preset color when all three lamp zones are the same selected color. In the pics attached I have all three lamp zones selected as blue or orange and they look great, but when you use the lamp zones to make each lamp have both blue and orange the colors are way off. Maybe that can be addressed in future updates or maybe it never will improve. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s an advertised feature that doesn’t actually work very well. I will test with the custom setup and try only have two zones instead of three, if that’s possible.Next area to improve… automation tab has time sets to turn the lights on and off. What would be better since these are generally going to be used for front of home lighting would be a dusk til dawn preset that tracks and changes sunrise and sunset the adjusts the times daily/weekly. Our smart switch that has these lights has this feature already built in, but folks without a smart switch would have to change the on/off times as the daylight times change throughout the year.Overall still a strong product and a great foundation to build a DIY home lighting system utilizing the features and product of Govee.

    Bright, beautiful exterior wall lights
    We replaced two large, old exterior wall lights with these wall lights from Govee. The installation was super easy and the result was amazing. The lights are super responsive, can be controlled as a group and very bright, illuminating most of our yard at night.The colors and scenes make this an amazing light we can use for all our holiday lights in the future.Brightness, color and scenes can be changed immediately or automated to be on a schedule. We had guests over and they said how the loved the look compared to our earlier lights, which were huge in size, but not brightness.The lights itself do not have any motion sensors on them. Personally it wasn’t an inconvenience, since it makes the lights sleek. However you’ll have to look elsewhere if you need a light with motion sensors. I plan to automate these by including either Govee’s motion sensors or existing motion sensors from my Eufy cams to turn on the switch controlling these lights.Overall, very happy with these lights from Govee.

    I purchased 3 of these and installed them as our primary outdoor lighting sconces.They look great at night and during the day. They are very bright. we run around 30-40% to be on par with our neighbors lights.Many reviews say they look cheap, I do agree, but that’s because they’ve probably mounted them their cheap house with vinyl siding. I mounted 2 on vinyl, they look totally fine, much better than a big-box store lamp style light, the only difficulty is getting them flush and finding the right depth to set the mounting plate so the siding is not pushing the fixture out of plumb.The review is only 4 stars because one of the lights died within a week with a professional installation (I am the professional), I am in the process of getting replaced it via the app with their “rapid replacement” feature.
