About time they brought this back
I have the original one (rounded style) and have been wanting to get another for another door since the original was discontinued. This new one has all the same features and installs just like the old one which in my opinion is very easy to install. I specifically like how it uses the doorâs existing deadbolt which is great for apartments where you have to keep the same key. Personally, I liked the rounded style of the original better than this new square style but itâs just as functional. Of course the best feature is you only have to enter your alarm pin once to both unlock the door and disarm your Simplisafe system. Glad this product is back on the market.

Get it.
Iâve been eyeing this lock all year since I already have a SimpliSafe system in place. It never went on sale once lolSo I was able to get it 50% from SimpliSafe directly & I jumped on it.Installation is super easy as long as you donât have the situation I didâ¦..Precious owner had installed a keypad deadbolt so I had to install a âdumb deadboltâ before proceeding. Once I did that installing this smart lock was so easy following the SimpliSafe app prompts. One recommendation I have is to secure the keypad outside with screws. It is easy and worth it instead of just sticking it to your door. I understand why would someone steal a keypad. But why chance it?

Terrible connectivity
I tried this with two separate locks. I really wanted this to work, tried it for 6 months but after nothing but constant disconnects from the base station and numerous support calls SimpliSafe decided the lock needs to be on the same floor as the base station which doesnât work for most multi level homes. I will look again in a few years if the product is updated.
