No UL. RATING for all Shelly devices.
All Shelly devices don’t have a UL rating. They are awesome devices. But in almost every state and county in America a UL rating is definitely required to hardwire an electronic device to your home. Some of the devices do generate heat. I really wish I could install their beakers info my home they are amazing and not as expensive as Leviton smart breakers. The user interface is helpful but there is a paid subscription fee for all the extra data.

Excellent and highly versatile
Shelly has so many different relay models that it was hard to know where to start at first. In my new home, I wanted to use a mix of standard light bulbs and smart bulbs, but I wanted to be able to control all of them via Home Assistant. Using smart switches made that difficult, since it is rarely a good idea to put smart bulbs and smart switches together. Enter Shelly. This relay works perfectly with Home Assistant and is flexible enough to work with standard bulbs and smart bulbs, all of which are connected to standard, low-cost dumb light switches. I will be using these relays (the UL listed ones) throughout my new house. The power monitoring is a nice feature as well, but you can save money and get the relays that don’t include power monitoring.These can also act as Bluetooth proxies in Home Assistant, which will be very useful, but I haven’t tried this yet.

Great relay, watch for wire gauge
Bought one of these to test and was glad I only got one. While I love most of the Shelley lineup, this particular relay is a bit annoying to me because it only accepts 14AWG wire. Since most of my house is 12AWG, this means I either have to pigtail a 14AWG wire or use the Shelly Plus 1PM Mini Gen 3 relay (which does accept 12AWG wire). So I will probably use this elsewhere but will likely only use the Mini relays for the foreseeable future.

Omg, this thing is so easy to setup and fits inside the electrical box. I am using it to turn off my Furnace when no hot water is required. Works amazing, just make sure it actually interrupts the furnace circuit to avoid unexpected starts during maintenance..

Poor connectors
Attempted an install with 12ga solid copper wire and could only secure one of the 4 connections- the rest wouldn’t tighten, as if they were either stripped or not designed for this size wire. I’m actually very surprised that this device received UL certification. Great idea, but I’ll just go with a standard smart switch from now on. I don’t really need current monitoring.

Terminals are held on by hopes and dreams
I wanted to like these – and frankly I still do like the minis – but at least on the 1PM ones I got the terminals were trash. They weren’t attached to the board well and applying enough pressure to the screws to actually properly clamp a wire caused them to break off the board. And no, this wasn’t user error. I managed to screw up one myself and my electrician who was around wiring other parts of my shop managed to break the other trying to install them. Maybe add something to hold the screw terminals besides solder and prayers?

Actualización: Relevador de contacto “seco” WiFi con medidor de consumo eléctrico, funcionó muy bien, hasta el dÃa de hoy. Lo utilizaba para controla una bomba de agua y evitar derrames, lo cual puedo hacer gracias a que la aplicación cuenta con múltiples opciones de programación y configuración. Desafortunadamente un dÃa después de enviar mi opinión el aparato dejó de funcionar asà sin mas. Se supone que soporta hasta 16A. la carga maxima a la que estuvo expuesto fue de 6A, por lo que no se que le pasó y no muestra daño aparente.
