    If the lights would stay connected, these would be amazing (They do now!)
    UPDATE:Last week (10/30/2022) there was a firmware update for the LIFX Lightstrip. I am happy to say that after installing this update, and several days of use, the lightstrip is working flawlessly. It is remaining fully connected at all times. It is responsive not just in the app, but also through HomeKit and Alexa. As this is working superbly, I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 5.I recently got this light strip to use as bias lighting in my home office. Set up was easy, and they connected well with both HomeKit and Alexa. After a couple of days, they stopped staying connected to my wifi. They are in the same room as the router. In order to use the lights, I need to reset them to reconnect them every single time I want to turn them on or off. I was very disappointed considering the price point and the quality of the strip itself. The lights are bright, and the colors are vibrant. Since I have this installed already, I may get a smart plug just to turn it on and off since the plug is in an odd place. Overall, mostly disappointed with what could be a great device.

    I just installed the LIFX Lightstrip Color Zones, and let me tell you, they are an absolute game-changer! First off, the setup was super easy—just peel, stick, and connect to Wi-Fi. I had them up and running in no time!What I love most is how customizable they are. You can create different color zones along the strip, which means you can mix and match colors to fit your mood or vibe. Whether I’m throwing a party or just chilling, I can set the perfect atmosphere with just a few taps on my phone. The app is user-friendly, making it easy to explore all the cool features.The colors are super vibrant, way better than any other LED strips I’ve tried.     Piece of Junk
    I was looking for an alternative to the expensive Hue gradient light strip and this seemed like the best option. The quality of the lights is good, and when they work properly they are excellent. The problem is that they regularly don’t work. There are two problems:1- The app. Compared to the hue app, it sucks. It’s difficult to navigate and understand the flow between scenes, effects, themes, etc.2 – Connectivity is a constant issue. This lightstrip is positioned about 10 feet from my high end wireless router. Yet the device regularly (>50% of the time) loses connectivity or “goes dark” as LIFX likes to call it. This means that any routines you have setup via Alexa or homekit will not run properly because the lights can’t be reached. I should be able to connect to the lights 100% of the time unless there is a glaring issue in my setup. I’m fairly technologically capable, and have the lights setup correctly on a 2.4ghz network, however the connectivity issues are constant.I would return these lights but I’m unfortunately past the return deadline. I wouldn’t buy them again and wouldn’t recommend them to friends. Very disappointed as this seemed like a great alternative to the Hue gradient strip. Next time I’ll just pony up the extra cash so that I can get lights that will actually connect to the network as intended.

    Beautiful lights… poor connection UPDATE 11/7/2022
    Update 11/7/22An update to my original review taking off a star for poor connectivity. A recent firmware update released for my strips 2.9 (for older chipsets)/3.9 with patch notes specifically reporting improved connectivity seem to be working. Where it normal for the lights to drop the connection daily and require a reset, they have not disconnected once since the update. Be warned though, a small percentage of people reported the update bricking their lights. However, I have updated 4 so far with no issues.Like others have stated, the lights are very bright and gorgeous…. when they work. The strips suffer from an unusual amount of disconnections which can be resolved by unplugging them and plugging them back in. But quite annoying for something this price when I never suffered this with cheaper brands.

    Great, when not defective.
    These are the best led strips I’ve come across in terms of brightness, colors, and the apps functionality and design. I love them so far, my only issue is that I bought multiple lights and LIFX bulbs to light my entire home and about 1/3 or more of them just did not work, and this was across the entire range of products, defective strips, controllers and bulbs. But when it works it’s great.

    So Far So Good
    Despite lots of complaints on connectivity and durability issues, mine works as expected. Lights are very vibrant and beautiful. This Lifx strip makes my Govee & Secretlab Magrgb strips look significantly inferior.Small tips – I used 3M velcro adhesive to hold the connector behind my Secretlab desk. If I loose adhesiveness on the strip I plan to use the 3M velcro adhesive in the future. I also have high end Asus router with separate 2.4ghz SSID for 20+ different brand IoT devices.

    Nice colors, Bad control module
    I bought these for my wet bar, running two 80″ units behind the shelves and cabinets. Colors are awesome, and programming went well. But I have had intermittent problems with one of the control modules resetting itself, or something. The light strips will be off, but then one of them will turn itself on and lose all color programming, “go dark”, according to the app and have no control, running a demonstration, and then staying on at 100% white. I have to delete the strip from the app, then reconnect and reprogram. It’s a serious pain.I’d like to replace the control module and see if that fixes the problem.

    La verdad LIFX me había gustado porque no requieres puente como con Phillips Hue y he comprado dos paquetes de tira de luces y AMBOS SE DESCOMPUSIERON. Los quiero para decoración de mi cuarto para cuando hago streams y unas semanas todo fue jijijí jajajá hasta que un día se la tira partió en dos zonas de colores. Intenté resetearlo mil veces desde el propio aparato, luego desde la app y sin éxito. Escribí directo al software de LIFX y según ellos era elegible para un reemplazo que enviaron pero nunca llegó. NO COMPREN LAS TIRAS LED. Luego constantemente hay que resetear la conexión con la PC porque se desconecta y en fin. Es un show. Una youtube (les debo el nombre jeje pero escribanme y les paso el video) confirmó igual que LIFX solo le trajeron problemas y pues usa Hue aunque carísimo pero SIEMPRE funciona. A ver qué tal.

    Lights work well. We put it behind our bed, but haven’t tried to stick them to fabric. We’re trying to sort out another hack there for stick. App is not sure intuitive, but you can do some cool things! We made a sunrise and it helps 100000% with waking up in dark winter mornings. I like!
