Great Value for the Money
I couldn’t have been more excited to receive these bulbs. After reading the reviews I was worried that I would have defective bulbs and that they wouldn’t be reliable. I live in Hawaii so these bulbs had to travel quite a distance for shipping. I ordered 12 and all of them work flawlessly. Setup using my Smart Things Hub couldn’t have been simpler. Simply screw the bulbs into the socket, turn on the device and link them using the smart things app. I have 3 ceiling fans, each holding 3 bulbs and a bathroom fixture that uses 3 bulbs as well. My ceiling fan has a simple on/off switch with no dimmer functionality. The bulbs are working great and the built in dimming function works well. My favorite feature is that I can now use the ceiling fan or bathroom lighting and only turn on 1 bulb instead of all 3 which theoretically saves power. I setup low, medium and high routines in the Smart Things app so that I can easy specify via Alexa or the Smart Things app whether I want all 3 bulbs on or just one. The dimming function works well using intervals of 10 (10, 20, 30, 100…). I’m personally happy with the brightness though if you are looking for the artificially bright white that many bulbs have nowdays, these don’t seem to offer that. I also feel that the lowest setting isn’t as dim as I would expect. It’s definitely dim but still seems bright for 10%. Alexa/Google Home will allow me to say dim to 1% but the bulbs don’t seem to dim lower than 10%. This is definitely not a deal breaker for me.I am ordering bulbs for the remaining sockets in my home. If anyone cares, the 8 pk is simply 8 individual bulbs with preferred pricing. I was expecting the bulbs to be packaged together but they each packaged individually which makes the 4 or 8 pack great for gifts.

(Multi-colored) Easy to pair with some caveats, nice and bright and controllable
RUNS HOT AT FULL BRIGHTNESS, be aware of that if using in an enclosed fixture. It’s not as hot as a normal bulb but it has complex electronics, and heat + electronics = premature failure, so I’m hoping these last a long time (I just installed them in open fixtures, and plan on only running them at 80% level or less, even if using only a few colors). They pair really easily to HUBITAT, BUT you should reset the bulbs FIRST even right out of the package (turn them on/off rapidly at least 10 times at the light switch or a power strip — light will “blink” 5 times when turned on the last time and left on, then it will color cycle each color then white). After resetting, the pairing and control works just fine. They have variable white balance (RGB+CW+WW led), and really nice color control through the HUBITAT software, which recognized the devices immediately by brand. Setting the delay for color changes in the settings in the HUBITAT device page makes for a nice dimmer effect when turning on and off, less jarring in a dark room, and the effect is smoother than other ZWave dimmers I have.Overall, really pleased, but these are brand new, just installed, so I hope to post a follow up after several months of daily use (wake-up lights, mood lighting, etc.). Stay tuned…

It was so hard for me to find the right hub to make this work. At the end it was to expensive to have all the set up for a bulb without any special feature.

I have to say this is just awesome. I love my new bulbs. Especially on those lazy days I just need to sit. It’s not to bright and on super hot days like today when it is +30 it doesn’t give off much heat. We also got a light for our daughters room and can shut off at bedtime, I love this invention.

These lights work awesome, bought a second pair for our bedroom. We connected these lights to our echo, the pairing process is super easy with alexa. Lights get plenty bright, people complaining that colors aren’t very bright probably don’t understand that a colored light like blue or red wont illuminate the room as well as a pure white light. The colors on these lights seem accurate enough. with alexa you are limited to static colors from what I can see. In order to control lights on app you need a sengled hub. Overall these bulbs work very well and often go on sale. They are a much better alternative to philips bulbs and work great with alexa.

Soon after receiving them, I had all 8 Sengled lamps deployed, replacing a non-uniform variety of older lamps. Setup was trivially easy thru an Amazon Echo _Plus_ (which apparently has a Zigbee hub built into it), and using the Amazon Alexa app on my iPhone to assign more convenient labels for each lamp. I very much like the ability to group multiple lamps and use a single voice command to set a uniform dimming level, e.g., “Alexa, Main Lights 5%.” It’s neat to see 8 lamps all respond together to one simple voice command. Now we leave the various light switches ON always, and use voice commands to control the lamps individually or in groups. Having coordinated dimming of multiple lamps is a pleasing new capability! And now, to stop an irritating reflection off the TV or computer screen, I can switch off a faraway lamp without having to get off the recliner. There is a bit of a learning curve for providing Alexa with clear comprehensible unambiguous voice commands. I think it helps to have multi-syllable labels for each device and group, so Alexa can more easily resolve uncertainties in the presence of ambient noise. There is probably a hint guide somewhere about effective communication with Alexa, but I haven’t stumbled upon it yet. Right now, with only a few days of Alexa experience, we are occasionally having to repeat or rephrase commands until we get the desired response.I chose the warm white 2700K lamps for my living space. Seven of the lamps are in one large living/dining room, and all look very uniform, no color nor brightness non-uniformities. I hope they all last a long time together. Operating them mostly at cooler dimmed settings ought to extend the life, I hope. (In my experience, LED lamps don’t last nearly as long as the manufacturers claim. Overheating is the main killer of LED lamps. Six of the old LED lamps that I replaced had cracked plastic shells after only a few years use, in upward-open sconces.)There is not much difference in lamp intensity between 90 and 100%, or between 1% and 2%. I find myself using only a few favorite dimming levels: 1%, 7%, 22%, 44%, and 99%.

Bought 3 of these about a year ago. Initially they seemed good. They’re moderately brighter than a lot of standard smart bulbs and were easy to connect. They don’t have any ability to remember their last state from a power loss so if you lose power in the middle of the night expect them to blast on full brightness if power is restored. The main issue I’ve had though is they are horrible at staying connected to my zigbee network. I have routers all over my house and multiples very nearby each of these (within 5-10ft) and they regularly lose connection and stop responding. Sometimes they’ll reconnect on their own, sometimes they won’t. Sometimes a power cycle will restore the connection, sometimes it won’t. They seemingly have a mind of their own.I don’t recommend. I’m looking for replacements now.
