No, Nanoleaf products are NOT waterproof or water resistant. Our lights and adhesives are not designed to be exposed to high levels of humidity, and are therefore not recommended to be placed in washrooms, near the sink in kitchens, or outdoors.
What is the difference between a Smarter Kit and an Expansion Pack?
Every Nanoleaf Smarter Kit has everything you need to set up the lights. It includes a Controller and a Power Supply unlike Nanoleaf Expansion Packs. An Expansion Pack is an addition to a Smarter Kit which cannot be used without owning a Smarter Kit.
Are Elements touch-reactive? Do they sync to music?

Would give it 5 stars but the lights do not give off as much light as the picture leads on. Their great quality but the light only come out of half of the pole. I was thinking it would come out on all sides. Could be my bad. The Bluetooth option is awesome!

Good lights, good price
I have several types of LED lights. I like these as they are large enough to mood light a decent size room. I like the ability to use an app or remote. The materials and quality are a step above other lights I have owned and these are one of the less expensive options. Hopefully they last.

Not Quite For PC Gamers Desks
Base has plastic protectors over screw pegs. Don’t try to push into the base. Remove the protective sleeve and screw into the bottom. Highest brightness is eh. could be brighter IMO. Even with base white set. USB to computer power is fine, but it will not get enough power from a monitor USB port. Also, if you use the “Music” options from the controller, its just from ambient noise OR a mobile via Bluetooth. I am not seeing an option to connect to a PC and allow the LED’s to follow music being played on the computer. Other LED like lamps seem to have this option. Check around.
